The LaLiga team Valencia CF has granted the Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis (CBRE), the leading international real estate consultancy and services firm, the exclusive mandate for the sale of the land on which their home ground – the Mestalla Stadium in Valencia, Spain – currently stands.

‘valenciacf.com’ stated that the plot, which houses the Valencia CF’s stadium until the move to the Nou Mestalla in the Summer of 2027, has a buildable area of approximately 90,000 m2 envisaging a mix of residential and tertiary uses including hotel and office space.

The Valencia CF or simply Valencia is a Spanish professional football club based in Valencia, Spain, which currently plays in the LaLiga, the top tier of the Spanish football league system.

The Mestalla Stadium is a football stadium in Valencia, Spain. The stadium is the home of the Valencia CF and has a capacity to accommodate 49,430 spectators making it the eighth-largest stadium in Spain and the largest in the Valencian Community.

The Valencia CF’s new home will be the Nou Mestalla, a new stadium currently under construction and expected to open in 2027. The new stadium will have a capacity of over 70,000 seats, a retractable roof and advanced technological features.

Dallas (US)-based the Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis (CBRE) Group Inc., is the world’s leading real estate consultancy and services company (by 2024 revenue). It has more than 140,000 professionals in over 100 countries. In Spain, CBRE has been present since 1973 offering real estate services.

The CBRE provides its clients with a wide range of services to address any real estate need and building type within the Living, Hotels, Retail, Offices, Industrial and Logistics sectors as well as in the Educational Centers, Hospitals, Student Residences, or Data Centers. The company supports the entire process – from identifying land, investment or divestment, valuations, debt and financing, cross-border operations, leasing, or property management and user experience, to project management of major construction or renovation projects, design and architecture, and property management.

‘valenciacf.com’ further stated that the above configuration offers high potential for transformation and repositioning in line with the current trends in multifunctional sports spaces and urban regeneration.

The operation will be led by CBRE’s Sports Division, a business line focused on maximizing the value of sports assets and enhancing their positive impact on urban and social environments in close coordination with CBRE’s Valencia office where the company has been present for 25 years.

The collaboration between the Sports Division and the local team will integrate specialized knowledge of the sports sector with an in-depth understanding of the local real estate market. This coordination will facilitate a strategic approach aligned with the characteristics of the asset and its urban context.
