The American sports and entertainment technology company Cosm and the real estate developer Bedrock and the American sports and entertainment holding company Rock Entertainment Group recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony in downtown Cleveland (US) for Cosm Cleveland, the company’s fifth experiential entertainment venue.

‘NBA’ stated that located on Bedrock’s Rock Block development site across from the 19,432 Rocket Arena Cosm Cleveland is slated to open in 2027.

Experiential Entertainment

The Cosm Cleveland space will come armed with a 12K+ light-emitting diode (LED) dome complemented by a high-resolution wall-to-wall LED display and will assimilate characteristics which will mirror the vibrant community of Cleveland. Its experiential entertainment factor will help the fans to connect and get immersed in themed environments.

Design

‘NBA’ further stated that the design of Cosm Cleveland has been lent by the multidisciplinary architectural firm ROSSETTI and developed by Bedrock. Cosm Cleveland will expand on the foundational design of its first four venues (Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit).

Los Angeles (US)-based Cosm is a global technology company that builds end-to-end solutions for immersive experiences. They provide a full stack experience solution including the physical design, engineering and manufacturing as well as the software, display engine and content need to deliver immersive experiences at scale.

A global leader in technology, media and entertainment Cosm is redefining the way the world experiences content by bridging the virtual and physical worlds through shared reality. Cosm delivers live sports, immersive art and experiential entertainment powered by premier visuals, exceptional hospitality and elevated food and beverage (F&B).

Detroit (US)-based Bedrock is an award-winning real estate developer focused on comprehensive city building initiatives in Detroit and Cleveland. Its work includes creating iconic cityscapes, rehabilitating historic properties and making space for the community – all with the philosophy to operate for more than profit.

The mission and focus for Cleveland (US)-based Rock Entertainment Group is to optimize the position as world-class operators in sports and entertainment by developing a unified, branded platform for relentlessly creating amazing experiences for the fans, the teams, the partners, the stakeholders, and their thousands of staff members across the spectrum of properties.

ROSSETTI is an American architectural design and planning firm headquartered in Detroit, Michigan.

The above milestone moment of Cosm Cleveland was commemorated by the gathering of community stakeholders, the project partners and the public officials with brief remarks and a ceremonial dirt turn. The event was also graced by dignitaries like the Mayor of Cleveland Justin M. Bibb, Blaine A. Griffin, Council President, City of Cleveland, Jeb Terry, head honcho of Cosm, Steve Winn, Chairman of Cosm, and Nic Barlage, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rock Entertainment Group.

Key Question:

  • With Cosm expanding its footprint in the United States how will it help in boosting the fan experience further at the stadia with its cutting-edge technology and experiential entertainment element?
