Rock-climbing aficionados in UAE will be thrilled to hear that Clymb – the world’s largest adventure hub – indoor, air-conditioned climbing wall – is all set to go on stream on November 29. This piece of good news comes after the project got procrastinated for a year due to a fire incident at the construction site.

Located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and connected to Yas Mall and Ferrari World, the highlight of the sporting facility will be a 43-meter indoor climbing wall – the world’s tallest – and will be tailor-made for beginner, intermediate and expert climbers. It will be quite an exciting experience for the enthusiasts – there will be four walls in total, of varying and increasing difficulty.

The Abu Dhabi Government Media Office informed that the opening date was preponed from 2020 to November this year.

“A Dh367 million project, Clymb Abu Dhabi is designed to present unique sporting challenges to active lifestyle enthusiasts from around the world and enhances the Emirate’s position as a global tourism destination, with world-class attractions for all travellers,” the media office said.

There will be quite a few plumes to the beret of this project – it will enjoy the tag of being the world’s widest flight chamber, said developer Miral.

The flight chamber will offer guests an ethereal experience – simulating a skydiving experience in a 9.75m-wide chamber, which makes it the world’s widest. Those who are petrified of a full Skydive Dubai jump, they can try their skills at the adventure sport here.

The climbing walls will dare beginners, intermediate and expert climbers to scale four walls of varying difficulty. The tallest expert-level wall will tower 43 meters above the ground.

Clymb will encompass retailers, food and beverage outlets, and a space to throw parties. The attraction will also be linked to the nearby Yas Mall and will offer guests the opportunity to savor Yas Island’s entertainment and leisure offerings.
