The 2025 Major League Baseball (MLB) Speedway Classic is heading to the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee (US), one of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR’s) most iconic tracks for a game like no other.

‘mlb.com’ stated that on August 2nd, 2025 the Major League Baseball (MLB) teams – the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds – will face off in a special Regular Season showdown at The Last Great Colosseum (Bristol Motor Speedway) in Bristol, Tennessee (US).

The MLB is one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada and is considered the premier professional baseball league in the world.

The Major League Baseball (MLB) Speedway Classic is an upcoming Major League Baseball (MLB) specialty game to be played between the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds on August 2nd, 2025. The game will be played in the infield of the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee (US), the home of a 146,000-seat NASCAR racetrack.

The Bristol Motor Speedway is a 0.533-mile oval short track in Bristol, Tennessee (US). The track has held a variety of events since its opening in 1961 including the NASCAR races, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) college football games and the sprint car races. The speedway has a capacity to hold 146,000 spectators as of 2021.

It also organizes the athletic programs of the colleges and helps over 500,000 college student-athletes who compete annually in college sports.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as the Division I-A, is the highest level of college football in the United States. The FBS consists of the largest schools in the NCAA. As of the 2025 season there are 10 Conferences and 136 schools in the FBS.

The Atlanta Braves are an American professional baseball team based in the Atlanta Metropolitan area (US). The Braves compete in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League East Division. The 41,084-capacity Truist Park serves as their home ballpark.

The Cincinnati Reds are an American professional baseball team based in Cincinnati (US). The Reds compete in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) Central Division. The 43,500-capacity Great American Ball Park serves as their abode.

‘mlb.com’ further stated that the matchup will be the first American or National League game played in the State of Tennessee. Baseball meets motorsports. Fans will not want to miss it.

The fans attending MLB’s Historic Game at the Bristol Motor Speedway can also experience an Interactive Fan Zone featuring live performances by Jake Owen (American country music singer), Timothy Wayne (country singer from the United States), Reyna Roberts (American country singer-songwriter and pianist), and Adam Doleac (American country music singer-songwriter).

  • The MLB Network live broadcast set;
  • The branded MLB stock cars for photo opportunities;
  • The Legacy Walk, an exhibit highlighting the great players from the Reds and the Braves;
  • Twenty (20) business partners hosting brand activations;
  • The Budweiser Clydesdales (a team of Clydesdale horses (powerful breed) used for promotional purposes by the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company);
  • The Beer Garden;
  • The Team Mascots; and
  • The ESPN’s SportsCenter: Fifty (50) States in 50 Days live broadcast set.
