Sussex Cricket (UK) has announced a new five-year partnership with Aramark, one of the world’s leading food service providers.

‘SUSSEX CRICKET’ stated that starting in March 2025 the above partnership promises to deliver exceptional food and beverage (F&B) services to the Sussex fans at The 1st Central County Ground in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, England (UK).

The Sussex County Cricket Club is the oldest of 18 first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales (UK). It represents the historic county of Sussex. Its limited overs team is called the Sussex Sharks.

The 6,000-capacity County Cricket Ground, known for sponsorship reasons as The 1st Central County Ground, is a cricket venue in Hove in the City of Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, England (UK). It serves as the home pitch of the Sussex County Cricket Club.

Philadelphia (US)-based Aramark serves the world’s leading educational institutions, the Fortune 500 companies, the world champion sports teams, the prominent healthcare providers, the iconic destinations and the cultural attractions, and the numerous Municipalities in 16 countries around the world with food and facilities management.

‘SUSSEX CRICKET’ further stated that the above collaboration is part of Aramark UK’s broader expansion into the sports and entertainment sector following its recent partnership with the Premier League team – the Everton F.C. (UK) and will be the organization’s first partnership with a professional cricket club.

In addition to enhancing the matchday experiences the Aramark UK will also cater for the conferences, the events and hospitality at the ground. The supporters and the visitors can anticipate an elevated experience thanks to Aramark UK’s significant investment in Sussex Cricket’s home. Technological advancements such as the digital pricing screens and the food ordering portals will ensure seamless service during the matchdays and events.

Pete Fitzboydon, Sussex Cricket Chief Executive, commented on the new deal, “Aramark was the standout candidates throughout the selection process sharing our passion to provide a first-class food and drink experience for our visitors. Their scale and exceptional track record in the wider leisure and entertainment industries mean Aramark is the perfect partner to support these future growth areas for Sussex Cricket. Sussex Cricket has invested around £1m in our ground over the closed season. This is already bearing fruit with the opening of our new Sixes venue (a new facility within the Sussex Cricket Ground), operated by Aramark, with much more to come!.”

Added Helen Milligan-Smith, head honcho and President at Aramark UK, “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Sussex Cricket and look forward to bringing our expertise to the 1st Central County Ground to deliver a fantastic experience for the spectators.”
