Auckland FC raring to go at Go Media Stadium

The Auckland Stadiums, a division of the Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, recently confirmed a multiyear partnership with the professional football club Auckland FC (New Zealand).

‘aucklandfc.co.nz’ stated that the Auckland FC have partnered with the Auckland Stadiums to play their home games at the Go Media Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand, for their first five years of the competition while basing their training and administrative headquarters at the North Harbour Stadium in Auckland.

Auckland (New Zealand)-based the Auckland Stadiums is a division of the Tātaki Auckland Unlimited and is responsible for transforming the region’s stadiums’ landscape to deliver sustainable, world-class and fit-for-purpose facilities.

Auckland (New Zealand)-based the Tātaki Auckland Unlimited is the Council-controlled organization of the Auckland Council that serves as Auckland’s economic and cultural agency. The organization runs major assets such as zoo, theaters, stadiums, galleries, and other facilities.

The Auckland Football Club is a professional football club based in Auckland, New Zealand that will compete in the A-League Men, the top flight of Australian soccer, from the 2024-2025 seasons. The club was formed on March 14th, 2024 as the Auckland FC.

The 25,000-capacity Mount Smart Stadium, commercially known as the Go Media Stadium, is a multipurpose stadium in Auckland, New Zealand. It is the home ground of the Auckland FC of the A-League Men.

The A-League Men is the highest-level of professional men’s soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country’s premier men’s competition for the sport.

The 25,000-capacity North Harbour Stadium is a stadium in Albany, North Shore City, New Zealand. It was opened in 1997 following nearly a decade of discussion, planning and construction. The rugby union, association football, rugby league, and baseball are all played on the main ground.

‘aucklandfc.co.nz’ further stated that the Auckland FC, launched this year, is returning professional football back to Tāmaki Makaurau (the Māori name for Auckland). They will start their inaugural A-League Men season in October with their first game to be held at the Go Media Stadium – the home of live entertainment in the region.

The Go Media (A Kiwi-owned outdoor media solutions company) are a longtime supporter of sport across Auckland and have agreed to their own partnership with the Auckland FC to become their official outdoor Media Partner.
