Evolv Technologies Holdings, Inc., a leading security technology company pioneering Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions designed to create safer experiences, recently announced that it has extended and expanded its hardware and software subscription agreement with the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina (US).

‘evolv’ stated that the 75,000-seat stadium, which hosts a full annual calendar of the National Football League (NFL) team Carolina Panthers games, the Major League Soccer (MLS) team Charlotte FC matches, concerts, and other events, originally deployed the Evolv Express® concealed weapons screening system in 2024.

The Bank of America Stadium is a multipurpose stadium located in the Uptown section of Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. It has a capacity to accommodate 75,037 fans and is the home facility and headquarters of the National Football League (NFL) team Carolina Panthers and the Major League Soccer (MLS) team Charlotte FC.

Express uses advanced sensor technology and AI to detect concealed threats and identify the person and location of the potential threat while allowing the people to move through the checkpoints at their natural walking pace. The system is designed to screen the visitors effectively while helping minimize congestion and disruptions to traffic flow at the entry points.

‘evolv’ further stated that the multiyear renewal announced recently upgrades the fleet of nearly 20 Express systems to the latest Gen2 hardware and brings the enhanced bag screening capability to the venue with the inclusion of the Evolv eXpedite™ systems. The eXpedite is Evolv’s autonomous weapons detection solution for the bags and is intended as a complement to Express in situations where the venue entrants carry high clutter bags.

From hosting 13 football-focused events annually the Bank of America Stadium now boasts nearly 40 annual major ticketed events.
