Continuing with its novel ideas implemented from time to time at the Nilton Santos Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the Brazilian association football club Botafogo in tandem with Companhia do Tomate has dedicated a space for kids – Star Arena Kids – at their home facility and the kids space opened recently.

‘Club Botafogo’ stated that the Star Arena Kids will host birthday parties and children’s events on matchdays. A pre-opening event was held recently ahead of Botafogo’s match against the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A team Flamengo, and bookings can now be made for the next home fixture against the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A team Goiás on September 30th.

The 46,000-capacity Nilton Santos Stadium is a multipurpose stadium located in the neighborhood of Engenho de Dentro in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is used mostly for football matches and athletics and is the home stadium of the football club Botafogo.

The Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas, also known as Botafogo, is a Brazilian sports club based in the bairro of Botafogo in the City of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Although they compete in a number of different sports, Botafogo is mostly known for its Campeonato Brasileiro Série A football team.

The Campeonato Brasileiro Série A is a Brazilian professional league for men’s football clubs. At the top of the Brazilian football league system, it is the country’s primary football competition.

Shared Thairo Arruda, head honcho of SAF Botafogo, “It is with great pride that we present another new feature for the ‘Rio’s Black and White’ fans. The objective of Star Arena Kids is to make the stadium family-friendly and provide fun moments to the kids. We also thank Companhia do Tomate for their cooperation in bringing the project to fruition. It is indeed a milestone moment for us.”

‘Club Botafogo’ further stated that the Star Arena Kids sits in the Lower West Sector of the venue and can accommodate 200 kids. It will also provide children with toys and video games. Children celebrating their birthdays will get an opportunity to enter the field with the Botafogo players.

The Star Arena Kids will also operate on non-matchdays. On days games are not held, special packages will be on offer to hold children’s parties and buffet will be served and football matches will also be held at the Nilton Santos Stadium pitch for children who have a yen for the game of soccer.
