The professional women’s soccer club Boston Legacy FC has announced the development of a new privately-funded, $27 million performance center in Brockton (Massachusetts, US), a purpose-built training facility that marks a defining milestone in the club’s growth.

‘bostonlegacyfc.com’ stated that designed with intention and built for the athletes at the highest level of competition the center will serve as the club’s training ground beginning ahead of the 2026 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) preseason.

The Boston Legacy FC is a professional women’s soccer club based in Boston, Massachusetts (US). It plans to enter the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), the top flight of the United States league system, in 2026. Its home ground will be at a renovated White Stadium though the club plans to play its inaugural season at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts (US) during its redevelopment.

The White Stadium, formally the George R. White Memorial Stadium, is a 10,519-seat stadium in Boston, Massachusetts (US) that was constructed between 1947 and 1949 for the use of the Boston Public Schools Athletics. It is located in Franklin Park (a large public park).

In partnership with the City of Boston and the Boston Public Schools the Boston Unity Soccer Partners, LLC proposes to rehabilitate the White Stadium centering its renovation on the ‘West Grandstand’ and improvements to the ‘Grove Area’. The revitalized White Stadium will serve as as the home pitch and venue for Boston’s new National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team Boston Legacy FC.

The 65,878-capacity Gillette Stadium is a multipurpose stadium located in Foxborough, Massachusetts, United States. The stadium is 22 miles Southwest of Downtown Boston and 18 miles Northeast of Providence, Rhode Island.

Averred Jennifer Epstein, Boston Legacy Controlling Owner, “Competing at the highest level demands an environment that elevates every aspect of the performance – and this new facility is a major step forward in how we support our players every single day. It reflects the kind of long-term investment that we believe will define the future of the league: Ambitious, professional and built to endure. We’re proud to be doing this in partnership with the City of Brockton.”

The facility highlights include:

  • A 30,000 sq. ft. training building featuring recovery, performance, tactical, and the staff spaces;
  • Six total fields including two natural grass surfaces and one heated field;
  • A full bubble dome (an inflatable, dome-shaped structure often made of transparent or translucent material which is used to enclose spaces like the swimming pools, the tennis courts, or even as unique living spaces) for year-round training in all-weather conditions; and
  • Fields with lighting several of which will be made available for youth community use.

‘bostonlegacyfc.com’ further stated that this facility isn’t just a step forward in infrastructure, it reflects a belief that sport at this level requires professional environments and that showing up for the athletes starts long before the matchday.

In partnership with the City of Brockton it also reinforces our commitment to building something lasting – both on the pitch and in the community.

This is where the Boston Legacy FC prepares to win. This is where the work begins.
