Some of the best teams in soccer will compete in Las Vegas (US) this Summer, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority announced recently.

The ‘KTNV’ stated that on July 16th, soccer fans can pack the alluring Allegiant Stadium to see the Premier League team Chelsea F.C. (UK) – the 2020-2021 Champions League champs – take on Club América, Mexico’s “winningest” team.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority are a Government agency and the official destination marketing organization for Southern Nevada (US). It was founded by the Nevada Legislature in 1955.

The 65,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium is a domed stadium located in Paradise, Nevada, United States. It serves as the home stadium for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels college football team. It also serves as the home of the Las Vegas Bowl and the Vegas Kickoff Classic.

The Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, they play their matches at their home ground, the 41,837-capacity Stamford Bridge in London, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football.

Club América is a professional football club based in Mexico City, Mexico. Nicknamed Las Águilas, it competes in Liga MX, the top tier of Mexican football. The club was founded in 1916, and since 1959 has been owned by the media company Televisa.

The ‘KTNV’ further stated that Chelsea F.C. has won two Champions League titles and six English Premier League titles. Club América has won 13 championships and holds seven international club titles in the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf).

The upcoming match marks the third game between Chelsea and Club América. Chelsea has won both matchups to date, defeating América 2-1 in 2007 and again in 2009 with a score of 2-0.
