LiveCo appoints Chuck Steedman Image: ASM Global

LiveCo has appointed entertainment and sports veteran Charles H. (Chuck) Steedman as President and Chief Executive Officer.

LiveCo is a leading specialist live entertainment company which has been delivering over 3,000 shows worldwide yearly since its founding only two years ago.

Steedman joins the company after an intensive seven-month international search. He brings with him extensive experience gained from a variety of key executive roles, including serving as AEG Facilities Chief Operating and Development Officer, ASM Global EVP Strategy and Development and most recently as a principal with the Raptor Sports Capital private equity fund.

At ASM Global – the world’s largest live event company – Steedman spearheaded a company record-breaking streak of real estate development and advisory agreements, venue management deals, and advisory pacts.

Prior to ASM, Steedman helped drive innovation and growth at AEG via business and content development domestically and abroad while serving as AEG Facilities Chief Operating & Development Officer, overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations of stadiums, arenas, and convention centers around the globe.

He also spent nearly 10 years with the Boston Red Sox and its parent company Fenway Sports Group. Under his guidance, the business of using Fenway Park for more than baseball games dramatically increased its revenue and profitability and hosted over 400 events annually.

He steps into the role previously held by Brian Becker, who has been CEO of LiveCo since co-founding the company with the $16 billion private equity fund Waterland back in November 2021.

With over 40 years of experience leading some of the world’s largest entertainment companies, Becker not only led the CEO search but also intends to continue his involvement with LiveCo as a major shareholder.

Cedric Van Cauwenberghe, Group Managing Partner of Waterland said, “We are thrilled to have someone with Chuck’s experience and skillset lead LiveCo. With its amazing team and long trusted relationships in the entertainment community, LiveCo is well positioned to continue growth in a robust and growing entertainment sector.

“Brian was the driving force for the creation of LiveCo and we are thankful for his vision and leadership. We now look forward to a great future with Chuck and LiveCo’s team.”

LiveCo is focused on delivering rich consumer experiences while specializing in country and faith music, family shows, comedy, and other live entertainment productions across its various entertainment brands: Base Entertainment, Icon Concerts, iTickets, MagicSpace Entertainment, Peachtree Entertainment, Premier Productions, Rush Concerts and Transparent Productions.

Steedman said, “LiveCo is a fantastic company made up of some of the most innovative and talented people and brands in live entertainment. I am humbled that Waterland and LiveCo leadership have chosen me to lead this incredible organization into a new era of providing experiences for fans, artists, and entertainers across our amazing platforms.”

Becker said, “It has been an honor and privilege to be a part of the launching and leadership of LiveCo. I will miss working day-to-day with LiveCo’s incredible partners and team members, but I couldn’t have greater confidence in the company’s leadership and future with Chuck at the helm. I look forward to supporting Chuck and the company in the future.”
