The Premier League team Manchester United F.C. (UK) has appointed a team of leading consultants to begin work on creating a masterplan for the redevelopment of their home field – Old Trafford.

The ‘Manchester United’ stated that the team will be led by the premium experiences company, Legends International, and the celebrated design firm, Populous, both of which have a wealth of stadium development experience from across the globe.

The Manchester United Football Club is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England (UK), which competes in the Premier League, the top flight of English football.

Old Trafford is a football stadium in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England (UK), and the home of Manchester United F.C. With a capacity of 74,140 seats, it is the largest club football stadium in the United Kingdom, and the 11th-largest in Europe.

The ‘Manchester United’ further stated that work will begin immediately on developing options for Old Trafford and studying their feasibility, with the aim of significantly enhancing the fan experience.

Fans will be at the heart of the process, starting with a meeting between the consultants and the Manchester United Fans’ Advisory Board later this month.

A similar process is already underway in relation to the club’s training facilities, with KSS (architectural designer in London, England) appointed to develop a masterplan for an expanded, state-of-the-art facility for the Men’s, Women’s and Academy teams.
