Deezer, the global music streaming platform, has presented the fourth edition of ‘La Relève’, introducing the next generation of stars of French rap and hip hop.

‘deezer investors’ stated that since 2019, La Relève has contributed to the future of French music by giving emerging talents a unique platform to showcase their work. Past editions have introduced artistes such as Laylow (French rapper), Oboy (Malagasy-born French rapper), Lala &ce (French rapper), and Green Montana (Belgian rapper).

Since its launch in 2019, ‘La Relève’ has paved the way for many popular artistes in the current rap scene such as Hatik (French rapper from Yvelines [Departments of France]), Lala &ce, Gambi (French rapper), Oboy, ZKR or Laylow who are enjoying a resounding success. This latest edition of La Relève is sure to reveal the stars of tomorrow and to discover new talents in the French music scene.

‘deezer investors’ further stated that the 2023 edition highlights 12 talents, selected for their originality, creativity and uniqueness by Narjes Bahhar, Senior French Rap Manager at Deezer, journalist, music expert, and also head of Jour de Sortie.

La Reléve 2023 features five women – Angie, Babysolo33, Kay The Prodigy, LaFleyne and Skia, and seven men – Genezio, Houdi, Jey Brownie, Kamas Skuh, Malty 2BZ, Rapi Sati, and Winnterzuko.

Deezer users will discover the artistes’ universes through previously unreleased tracks, featured on the La Reléve playlist. La Relève is only available on Deezer.
 

Exclusive Mini-series

For the first time in the series history, fans are getting an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at La Relève and how the tracks came to life.

A documentary mini-series, shot at the Artistic Palace Studio (recording studio in Paris, France), captures the creative process of the 12 rising stars. Guided by Narjes Bahhar and Musician and Content Creator KronoMuzik, the audience gets to experience every stage of the mixtape’s creation. The La Relève mini-series is a Deezer production, executive-produced by Media.Monks Paris, in collaboration with Grünt (webzine).
