With careful coordination, ES:ME organized a training agenda that suited both companies’ schedules. The initial days were dedicated to theoretical teachings, aimed at assessing the knowledge levels of the Rwanda Events team. Covering topics such as levers, pulley systems and forces in triangles, ES:ME ensured everyone had a solid foundation in understanding loads and weights. A pre-training assessment helped the company customize the program to ensure uniform progress among the participants.

Practical sessions featured hands-on experiences with load cells, different slinging methods and various pulley systems. While there were some challenges with the availability of PPE and rigging gear, the team made the most of the available resources, supplementing with the head honcho Wuerfel’s comprehensive kit. The training was further enhanced by supporting the Rwanda Events team in setting up the Women Deliver conference at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda, where they emphasized on safe working practices.
