The top-selling solo artist of all time and American singer-songwriter Garth Brooks will perform at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on August 22, 2020, and his will be the first major music act in the soon to be opened 65,000-seat facility.

Garth Brooks will perform weeks before the Las Vegas Raiders open their first NFL regular season at the majestic facility.

The $2bn Allegiant Stadium is a domed venue under construction, located in Paradise, Nevada, United States. It will serve as the home stadium for the National Football League (NFL)’s Las Vegas Raiders and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Rebels college football team. It is projected to open in July 2020.

Country music star Brooks boasts over 181 million records sold under his belt.

Brooks Stadium Tour has broken attendance records at every stop so far. He last performed in Las Vegas in 2016 at T-Mobile Arena and previously played a recurring residency at Wynn’s Encore Theater from 2009 to 2014. The musical great also has seven CMA Entertainer of the Year Awards in his kitty, a feat never-before accomplished.

The concert will be set up with reserved seating and fans will be able to purchase up to eight tickets while supplies last. Tickets for the show, which will be presented by Amazon Music, will start at $94.95 (£73.51/€84.82). Tickets for the concert are already being sold from March 13.

Allegiant Stadium will sit on the Las Vegas Strip and Los Angeles-based venue and event management company ASM Global will call the shots. The stadium is expected to generate an economic benefit of $620m annually and create 6,000 permanent jobs in Southern Nevada.

Earlier this week, ROKiT Phones signed on as the latest founding partner of the stadium and will serve as the official phone of the Raiders as part of the deal.

The first scheduled event is stated to be held at the fully enclosed and climate controlled Allegiant Stadium on August 16. It will also stage UNLV football this Fall as well as the Pac-12 Championship Game and the Las Vegas Bowl.
