A new era is on the horizon as the LaLiga team Getafe CF (Spain) have unveiled plans for a brand-new stadium.

‘getafecf.com’ stated that the Getafe CF and the construction services company of Spain Amenabar have signed an agreement as part of which the latter is in charge of building the New Coliseum Stadium. The construction work got rolling on June 9th.

The Getafe CF is a Spanish professional football club based in Getafe, a City in the Community of Madrid (Spain). They compete in LaLiga, the top tier of Spanish football. The team is playing its home matches in the 16,500-capacity Coliseum Stadium since 1998.

The 16,500-capacity Coliseum Stadium is a Municipality-owned football stadium in Getafe, Spain. It is the home ground of the Getafe CF.

Gipuzkoa (Spain)-based Amenabar is a leading construction company known for its commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability in all its projects. Its construction methods have become a benchmark for the other construction firms to follow suit and Amenabar have successfully completed major venue projects and are known to take challenges head-on.

‘getafecf.com’ further stated that the above deal marks a milestone moment in the history of the club and the City as it represents the first step toward the realization of an exciting project for the fans and will act as a catalyst for the further growth of the Getafe CF.

The venue project is scheduled to be completed in less than 30 months’ time and the facility will come armed with futuristic facilities which the home stadia of the elite football clubs of the world boast. It is scheduled to open in 2028.

The Getafe CF has made its mark in LaLiga and has consolidated its position by making it to two Copa del Rey (an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football) Finals and participating in the European competitions thrice.

The New Coliseum Stadium will reflect the club’s success and ambition and will offer the fans a state-of-the-art infrastructure in par with the most chic arenas on the planet thus making the top-flight’s presence felt in the national and international football scene.

The new venue will not just be a bricks-and-mortar structure but will mirror the club’s ambitions and achievements.
