Golden Boy Promotions has struck a deal with Hollywood Park to bring year-round boxing events to Los Angeles.

The arrangement kicked off with Saturday’s clash between cruiserweight titleholder Arsen Goulamirian and Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez.

Boxing Scene said the multi-year, multi-event agreement solidifies Golden Boy’s commitment to bringing local and international boxing stars and events to the heart of the Los Angeles sports scene and leverages the diverse programming at SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater and across Hollywood Park.

As Golden Boy continues its expansion plans throughout 2024 and beyond, the partnership will ensure that fight fans can experience boxing events year-round in the Los Angeles area.

Golden Boy chairman and CEO Oscar De La Hoya said, “Golden Boy and Hollywood Park share a vision of bringing the highest quality of events to the Los Angeles region.

“We were the first to host an inaugural combat sports event at YouTube Theater in January 2023, and we couldn’t be more pleased to make history again by being the first to solidify a partnership deal of this magnitude with Hollywood Park.”

YouTube Theater is a 6,000-seat music and theater venue in Inglewood, California, United States, located under the same structure that houses SoFi Stadium, the home of the National Football League’s Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.

Spanning nearly 300 acres, Hollywood Park is the largest urban mixed-use development in the Western United States.

Anchored by an 890,000-square-foot retail area and surrounded by creative office space, Hollywood Park offers new sophisticated residences, public parks, a lake, and premier entertainment venues.

The mixed-use development is all linked by walkable paseos and plazas and centered around the 3.1 million square-foot SoFi Stadium, one of Los Angeles’ most striking architectural structures.

SoFi Stadium is a 70,240-seat sports and entertainment indoor stadium in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California, United States.

SoFi occupies the former site of the Hollywood Park Racetrack, three miles from Los Angeles International Airport and 0.5 miles Southeast of the 17,505-capacity Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.

Adolfo Romero, Vice President of Programming and Booking for YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park, added, “YouTube Theater is the first Los Angeles venue to ink a multi-year agreement with a boxing promoter, showcasing our commitment to this sport and leveraging our year-round events at SoFi Stadium and across Hollywood Park to continue our diverse programming strategy.”

The agreement was announced at Thursday’s final press conference ahead of Saturday’s card at YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park. Armenia’s Goulamirian (27-0, 19 KOs) met Mexico’s Ramirez (45-1, 30 KOs) in a scheduled 12-round main event.
