The Premier League team Fulham Football Club (UK) has announced that the sustainable energy company GRIDSERVE will be its electric vehicle partner for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons.

‘Fulham FC’ stated that GRIDSERVE, the sustainable energy, charging and leasing company, will provide the club with a fleet of Tesla Model Y electric cars and install charging points at both the top flight’s residence – Craven Cottage in London, England (UK) and the training ground at Motspur Park in New Malden, England.

The Fulham Football Club is a professional football club based in Fulham, London, England (UK). The team competes in the Premier League, the top level of the English football league system.

The Craven Cottage is a football stadium in Fulham, West London, England (UK), which has been the home of Fulham since 1896. The ground’s capacity is 22,384.

England (UK)-based the Gridserve Sustainable Energy Limited, stylized as GRIDSERVE, is a British company founded in 2017 to develop, own and operate critical infrastructure for sustainable energy production.

‘Fulham FC’ further stated that a total of 10 charging points will be installed, each capable of up to 22kW alternating current charging. Chargers at the training ground will be available for visitors to use with a simple contactless payment.

Said Rob Buckland, GRIDSERVE Chief Leasing Officer, “The Fulham F.C. may be London’s Original Football Club but its well and truly thinking of the future with how it approaches sustainability – and that’s why the club is a perfect fit for us. We hope the partnership will not only help decarbonize the team’s activities off the pitch, but also encourage fans to make the switch, in turn helping us to move the needle on climate change.”

Sharing in the enthusiasm, Jon Don-Carolis, Fulham Football Club Commercial Director, added, “The club has made significant and demonstrable progress towards sustainability in recent years, and we strongly believe that sustainability partnerships are key to delivering change at scale. With their award-winning charging network and commitment to planet-friendly energy, we’ve found a partner to be proud of in GRIDSERVE.”
