College Football Playoff new augmented reality Image: CFP on Twitter (@CFBPlayoff)

The ‘AR as a Service’ Self Service Platform ImagineAR Inc. (Canada) has said that college football fans around the world can elevate their national championships weekend experience with the CFBPlayoff mobile app, a new mobile augmented reality (AR) innovation by Imagine AR and SIDEARM Sports on behalf of the College Football Playoff (CFP).

‘proactive’ stated that the company said college football fans can share in the 2023 CFP National Championship by taking photos and videos with the virtual CFP National Championship Trophy that can be exclusively shared during the national championship weekend via the app.

Vancouver (Canada)-based ImagineAR is a self-publishing AR platform for desktops that enables businesses of any size to create and implement their own augmented reality (AR) campaigns with no programing or technology experience.

Plano (Texas, US)-based SIDEARM Sports is the leading digital fan engagement provider for collegiate athletics programs, conferences and more. It is the perfect blend of sports junkies and technology geeks. The team at SIDEARM provides the technology platform that powers the official websites, mobile apps, statistical integration, live audio and video streaming, and e-commerce platforms of collegiate athletic partners across United States.

The College Football Playoff (CFP) is an annual postseason knockout invitational tournament to determine a national champion for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, the highest level of college football competition in the United States.

‘proactive’ further stated that the Playoff Semifinals will kick off on December 31st, 2022 with the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl (American college football bowl game) between the Michigan Wolverines football team and the TCU Horned Frogs (Texas Christian University) and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl (annual college football bowl game) between the Georgia Bulldogs football and the Ohio State Buckeyes football, ImagineAR noted.

The CFP National Championship will follow on January 9th, 2023 at the 70,000-capacity SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California (US), featuring the champions of both Playoff Semifinals.

Commented ImagineAR head honcho Alen Paul Silverrstieen, “Partnering with SIDEARM Sports, the premier college sports technology company, and the College Football Playoff is amazing and truly an honor. We look forward to ensuring college fans enjoy this premier virtual trophy experience and share it on all social media platforms. We look forward to building on our virtual trophy celebration product that we have rolled out for multiple clients and fan bases around the globe.”
