Rev up your engines as larger-than-life sporting experience Monster Jam® heads to London (UK) for the very first time. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the adrenaline-charged, interactive experience for the whole family features world-class athletes locked in intense competitions of speed and skill. A stadium-only event, the competition is the biggest, boldest and loudest of its kind in the United Kingdom, seating up to 50,000.

The ‘London Stadium’ stated that returning to international competition for the first time since 2020 and roaring into the London Stadium on June 18th, 2022, London-based fans finally get to witness the heated rivalries, high-flying stunts and fierce head-to-head battles. Engineered to perfection, the world-famous 12,000-pound Monster Jam trucks such as Grave Digger®, El Toro Loco® and Megalodon® push all limits in Freestyle, Skills and Racing competitions.

Monster Jam is a live motorsport event tour operated by Feld Entertainment. The series began in 1992, and is sanctioned under the umbrella of the United States Hot Rod Association. Events are primarily held in North America, with some additional events in other countries. Although individual event formats can vary greatly based on the “intermission” entertainment, the main attraction is always the racing, two-wheel skills competition, and freestyle competitions by monster trucks.

Feld Entertainment Inc. is an American live show production company which owns a number of traveling shows. Feld Entertainment® is the worldwide leader in producing and presenting live family entertainment experiences that bring people together and uplift the human spirit. Properties include Monster Jam®, Monster Energy Supercross, Disney On Ice, Marvel Universe LIVE!, Sesame Street Live!, and Jurassic World Live Tour. Across the brand portfolio, Feld Entertainment has entertained millions of families in more than 75 countries and on six continents.

The 80,000-capacity London Stadium is a multipurpose outdoor stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in the Stratford district of London, UK. It is located in the Lower Lea Valley, six miles East of Central London.

The ‘London Stadium’ further stated that this year’s Monster Jam event features skilled athletes, including 12-time Monster Jam World Finals® champion Tom Meents (American professional monster truck driver), fighting for the event championship while putting on a spectacle, constantly innovating and always entertaining. Monster Jam drivers are trained, world-class male and female athletes who have mastered not only the physical strength and mental stamina needed to compete, but the vital dexterity to control 12,000-pound machines capable of doing backflips, vertical two-wheel skills and racing at speeds up to 70 miles-per-hour to produce jaw-dropping, live motorsports action seen around the world.

Some impressive Monster Jam facts include:

  • Each engine delivers about 1,500 horsepower;
  • It takes 1,500 manhours to build and remove a track;
  • One hundred and thirteen (113) litres of paint are used to paint the track and obstacles;
  • Some trucks are painted by hand and require more than 40 hours of paint time;
  • The average Monster Jam truck team will go through eight tires in one year;
  • Tires are 1.7m high by 1.1 wide; and

‘Pit Party’

If the competitions aren’t enough, there will be a Monster Jam ‘Pit Party’ from 11:30 am-1:00 pm, the only place that allows up close access to the Monster Jam teams. Fans will get to see the massive trucks up close, get an inside look into how they’re built, meet their favorite drivers, take pictures, get autographs, and so much more.

Maintained Magnus Danielsson, Vice-President of International Motorsports for Feld Entertainment Inc., owner of Monster Jam, “Monster Jam is a global premier experience which entertains and delights millions around the planet, bringing families of all ages together for one historic event. We are excited to be bringing Monster Jam to London and the iconic London Stadium for the first time ever. This is definitely a must-experience and will be one for the books!”
