Coliseum Summit US 2017

  • Over 100 venue specialists to attend the two-day conference
  • Speakers include a rich mix of representatives from both North and South Americas and experts from Europe and Canada
  • Venue tours of T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas Speedway and Park Theater

Coliseum – a top name in international stadium conferences – will host the next edition of Coliseum Summit US in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 19-20, 2017. This follows the phenomenal response that the inaugural summit got in Orlando, Florida, with participants from over 13 countries in attendance.

Coliseum is excited to be back in the sophisticated stadium business market of the USA,” said Michael Rennschmied, the CEO of MJR Group, the organizers of the event. “The conference program in the US is geared to meet the local demands of the stadium and arena business in both the North and South Americas and therefore completely different from the ones in the Middle East or Europe for example,” he added.

Rennschmied stressed that Las Vegas was the natural choice as the destination for this year’s Coliseum Summit AMERICAS. “Las Vegas is abuzz with several exciting stadium and venue projects going on. The new T-Mobile Arena is up and kicking with a deal with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The Madison Square Garden have set their eyes on a spectacular 20,000-seater entertainment venue. The Oakland Raiders are set to move to Las Vegas with a new stadium while another football stadium for NFL is also in the offing. Work on the All Net Arena site has also picked up. Several other projects are in the pipeline,” he elaborated, explaining the logic behind bringing in the stadium conference at the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’.

This year, Coliseum Summit US is expected to bring together over 100 venue specialists under a single roof in Las Vegas. The speakers comprise a rich mix of representatives from both North and South Americas besides international experts from Europe and Canada.

These include representatives from Oakland Raiders, Vegas Golden Knights, Minnesota Vikings, Park Theater, Saskatchewan Roughrider, AEG, MGM Resort International, Colorado State University, AT&T Stadium/Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Organising Committee for Rio 2016 Olympics, Club Nacional de Football (Montevideo), Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennis Canada, Arena Corinthians, Miami Dolphins, Ultimate Fighting Championship, Fifth Street Gaming, Washington National Baseball Club, Miami Marlins, Unilumin Visual, Saint Gobain, Active Ticketing, HOK, Real Sociedad and Philips Lighting North America.

The summit offers a unique platform for experts from the stadium and sports venue business to come under a single roof to discuss the future of the sector. The conference is formatted to highlight 11 different segments of the stadium business, namely: Venue TECHNOLOGY, Venue OPERATIONS, Venue SECURITY, GREEN Venue, Venue VIP, Venue EXPERIENCE, Venue DESIGN, Venue CONSTRUCTION, Venue BUSINESS, DESTINATION Venue and Venue EDUCATION.

The sessions at Coliseum Summit US would highlight experiences and stadium projects from both the North and South Americas as well.

Participating delegates will also get unique ‘behind the scene’ experiences through three venue tours that would include Las Vegas Motor Speedway (April 18), T-Mobile Arena (April 19) and Park Theater (April 20).

Conceived and executed by the MJR Group, Coliseum is a unique three-in-one brand comprising a conference, a publication and an online-platform dedicated to design, delivery, operations and legacy of stadia and arenas. The three-in-one branding is tailored to add great value to the venue business internationally.

Coliseum Summit is the only global sports venues business summit with four dedicated stadium and arena conferences per year in four key regions of the world: Europe, US, Asia and the Middle East. This year, Coliseum is also adding Australia to this list.
