The Ligue 1 team Le Havre AC’s hunt for a naming rights partner for their home stadium – the Stade Océane in Le Havre, France – has finally ended. The club has reached a five-year naming rights deal with the French shipping and logistics company CMA-CGM. The venue is now known as the Stade CMA CGM Océane.

The above deal will prove to be a shot in the arm to the club’s overall growth.

‘hacmen.fr’ stated that Edouard Philippe, Mayor and President of the Métropole, which owns the stadium, supported the naming rights idea earlier this year during the Municipal elections campaign.

The Le Havre AC is a French professional association football club based in Le Havre, Normandy (France). Le Havre plays in Ligue 1, the first tier of French football.

The Stade Océane or Grand Stade du Havre and known as the Stade CMA CGM Océane for sponsorship reasons is a multipurpose stadium with 25,178 seats for sports events and 33,000 for shows. It is located in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime), France.

Marseilles (France)-based the CMA CGM is a leading French shipping and logistics group. The CMA CGM Group is a global player in sea, land, air, and logistics solutions.

Naming Deal Profits

‘hacmen.fr’ further stated that the naming rights deal was announced by the Le Havre AC President Jean-Michel Roussier at a presser held recently and the same was approved by the Le Havre Seine Métropole (urban community).

All profits from the naming agreement will go towards boosting the Le Havre AC’s growth. To bolster the club’s fiscal health the top-flight recently appointed Yassine Sossé Alaoui to look into the club’s sponsorships and partnerships aspects and lead the same.

Fiscal Details

While the financial details of the five-year agreement are not yet known the CMA-CGM is now the premium partner of the Le Havre AC. It is still not known who will be the shirt sponsor of the top-tier club for the next season.
