The Primera Federación – Group 2 team CF Intercity President Salvador Martí has opined that the future of the club hinges on the construction of a multifunctional stadium in Alicante, Spain.

‘footboom1.com’ stated that Martí made the above statement following a partnership with ‘Legends’, a global company specializing in premium events. Legends will help Intercity build the new venue.

The Club de Fútbol Intercity is a Spanish football team based in Alicante, Spain. The club plays in Primera Federación – Group 2 – the third tier of the Spanish football league system holding home matches at the Estadio Antonio Solana which can pack in 2,000 spectators.

Founded in 2008, New York (US)-based Legends is a premium experiences company with six divisions operating worldwide – Global Planning, Global Sales, Hospitality, Global Partnerships, Global Merchandise, and Legends IQ – offering the clients and the partners a 360-degree service solution platform to elevate their brand and execute their vision.

Legends collaborates with some of the most iconic and innovative brands in sports and entertainment to deliver exceptional experiences to the fans worldwide. The company provides its partners with a comprehensive data-driven solution aimed at driving revenue, strengthening their brand, and executing their vision. Founded in 2008, Legends works with prominent clients in professional sports, college attractions, entertainment, conventions, and leisure. Moreover, it leads in designing, planning and delivering outstanding experiences in sports and entertainment.

The CF Intercity new venue Alicante stadium project is a plan to build a multipurpose sports complex in Alicante, Spain, that will host football matches and music events.

‘footboom1.com’ further stated that the objective is that the new home facility of the InterCity is in a position to host concerts and various other activities with a capacity to accommodate circa 20,000 spectators.

Intercity stated that it is engaged in “advanced negotiations with several investors interested in funding the project”. If the above initiative comes to fruition the club claims that it will help them to ensure a steady flow of revenue.

Legends will oversee the research and development (R&D) part of the business plan to construct a multifunctional sports venue in Alicante. The arena will host sporting events and concerts and will give a leg-up to the economic health of the Valencian community.

The project includes the creation of a versatile space for concerts and a football stadium that will serve as the official home for the CF Intercity. Furthermore, Legends will conduct market studies and viability assessments for the development of the infrastructure.

The above agreement marks the first step towards establishing a leading sports and entertainment center in Alicante which will also include training facilities.

The business plan being developed by Legends is expected to be completed within 12 weeks and will include the design of the venue, 20-year financial projections and an analysis of the local market conditions to assess its viability.

The CF Intercity has engaged with the Spanish law firm Devesa Abogados for the review and advice on all contracts arising from the project.

The Board of Directors of CF Intercity is in advanced negotiations with several investors interested in financing the project and is also in the process of acquiring the necessary land for its construction in Alicante. Legends hold preferential rights for the development and management of this significant multifunctional sports venue.
