Big score board for Roig Arena Image: Roig Arena and LG Electronics

LG Electronics’ next-generation audio-visual solutions will take center-stage at Roig Arena, which is currently under construction in Valencia, Spain.

LG Electronics said the upcoming multipurpose indoor venue will open to the public in September featuring the highest-resolution scoreboard in Europe.

With a total of 1,700 m2 of LED screens, over 500 monitors and 25 VIP suites fully equipped with Transparent OLED technology and touchscreens, LG is reaffirming its commitment to bringing its technology and image quality -already well known in its consumer TVs – to the largest arena in Spain.

With a capacity of up to 20,000 people, Roig Arena aspires to stand alongside the world’s top indoor venues.

Jaime de Jaraíz, President and CEO of LG Spain, said, “The collaboration between LG and Roig Arena is a clear example of how technology can elevate large-scale architectural projects.

“From the initial design to the final implementation, we have worked hand in hand with the client to deliver customized solutions that meet the highest standards of image quality, performance and efficiency.”

Among LG’s solutions already showcased at Roig Arena – all manufacturated simultaneously to ensure maximum performance and consistent image quality with a 100% color accuracy – the standout feature is the large-format scoreboard with an impressive resolution, the highest in Europe.

Positioned at the center of the court and height-adjustable, it consists of four flat LED screens with faceted edges, creating a seamless and uninterrupted image.

Additionally, it includes two 18 m² screens on the inner faces to display game information during basketball matches.

Víctor Sendra, General Manager at Roig Arena, said, “The advanced technological solutions LG has installed in Roig Arena will definitely help us achieve our goal of delivering an optimal user experience at each of our events.

“We are grateful for LG’s strong involvement in the project and its commitment to creating a technology that will make Roig Arena one of the most cutting-edge venues in Europe.”

Outside the arena, the iconic “Eye” screen, installed in the northwest façade of the venue, has become Roig Arena’s main distinctive feature.

Built with high-resistance outdoor LED technology, it is ideal for harsh weather conditions. Its casing is specially treated to withstand demanding environments, including tropical and

saline conditions — particularly relevant in coastal areas like Valencia. Measuring 48 meters wide by 10 meters high, it covers nearly 300 m², making it one of the largest and most visible exterior structures.

Another of the spectacular LG solutions integrated into the venue is the LED Ribbon, installed around the perimeter of the arena.

Covering a total area of 220 m², it enables the display of dynamic content during top-tier sports events, cultural performances, and concerts.

It will make its debut in September with ‘Bravo, Nino’ — a musical tribute to Nino Bravo featuring well-known Spanish artists such as David Bisbal, Malú, and Pablo López, among others.

Complementing the Ribbon is the largest indoor videowall in Europe, made up of panels of the same model, with a total surface area of 500 m². Together, these elements will deliver an immersive experience for all attendees.

The 25 VIP suites at Roig Arena are equipped with transparent and touch-enabled OLED screens, offering exclusivity and personalization.

Each suite features a tailored combination of displays, with a total screen area of over 5 m², ensuring a cutting-edge technological experience and a modern aesthetic for guests.

LG will also equip the venue with a virtual studio designed for the production of high-quality digital content. It will feature a central 10 m² screen and additional next-generation modular displays.

These technologies will enable high-quality broadcasting, hybrid events, and interactive experiences — all hallmarks of LG’s visual excellence.
