Valencia’s Roig Arena is ready to fully open its doors this weekend with its first concert, ‘Bravo, Nino’, scheduled for this Saturday.

Roig Arena said that the multipurpose venue in Valencia has already officially begun operations with the opening of its dining area.

Between September 2025 and September 2026, the venue is expected to welcome over a million attendees across a variety of scheduled events, including music, entertainment, corporate and sports.

Specifically, during this period, Roig Arena has already confirmed 70 corporate events; 70 concerts and entertainment shows; and nearly 60 Valencia Basket games (both men’s and women’s first teams), in addition to the Copa del Rey final.

The 18,600-capacity Roig Arena, previously proposed as the Casal España Arena, will serve as the home base for both the men’s and women’s Valencia Basket Club teams.

Roig Arena, designed by the architecture firms HOK and ERRE, was built between 2020 and 2025 and features multiple configurations to host events: from the bowl, which can accommodate up to 20,000 spectators in concert mode and 15,600 in basketball mode, to the Auditorium, with a maximum capacity of 2,000 people, as well as various smaller rooms designed for smaller events.

The investment in Roig Arena amounted to €400 million euros, fully funded by Juan Roig through his personal wealth.

Víctor Sendra, General Manager of Roig Arena, said, “From the beginning, it has been a living project that has evolved and improved over time; it is a responsible investment, worthy of what the city deserves.”

This budget includes several initiatives under the Roig Arena’s ‘City Project, aimed at improving infrastructure in Quatre Carreres district and the city as a whole: the construction of Les Arts Public School (already operating, with a cost of 8 million euros); a public parking facility (opened a year ago, 20 million euros) and the urban development and landscaping of over 40,000 square meters, which includes the Valencia Basket Fan Park (7 million euros).

Sendra added, “Roig Arena is an investment by Juan Roig for Valencia, the Valencian Community, and Spain, —an investment he is very proud of, and we are proud that he made it, as it benefits Society as a whole. From now on, the venue must be self-sustainable, generating more income that expenses through a solid business model.”

In terms of music and entertainment, ticket sales for the 60 events currently on sale are showing very positive momentum.

On the venue’s opening day, Roig Arena has already sold the 75% of tickets for these events, with 14 sold-outs, including: ‘Bravo, Nino’, Camilo, Manuel Carrasco, two concerts of Joaquín Sabina, LOS40 Music Awards, Anuel AA, The Waterboys, The Chicken, La M.O.D.A, Delaossa, Fito & Fitipaldis, Hans Zimmer and Dani Martín.

Sendra added, “These figures confirm that Valencia sells—that is a city to be taken seriously when planning tours for international artists and groups. Moreover, the nearly 600,000 people who will enjoy music at Roig Arena will have a positive impact on the city’s economy.”

It is estimated that Roig Arena will generate an economic impact of at least €150 million in Valencia by September 2026.

This figure focuses on visitors from outside the province of Valencia attending music and entertainment events, and does not include business tourism (corporate events) or the impact of Valencia Basket games.

On another note, Roig Arena has already opened its doors with its food and beverage offering.

The impressive line-up includes: Poble Nou restaurant, Ultramarinos Roig, and El Mercat de Roig Arena, the gastromarket featuring Hundred Burgers (chosen as best burger in the world); La Mesedora (sandwiches); Adicto y Adicta (omelettes and croquettes); Per Me (pizzas and cocas); Xé Chicken (chicken burgers); Dichō (Asian cuisine) and Maverick’s (artisan hot dogs).

Most of the venue’s dining offering is managed by chef Miguel Martí, who oversees the central kitchen, Poble Nou, and Ultramarinos Roig.

Additionally, Roig Arena’s General Manager expressed his gratitude to key sponsors such as Grupo Pamesa, Heineken, CaixaBank, Iberdrola or Coca-Cola, among others, for their support of the project.

Sendra concluded, “Starting today, Valencia has a venue ready to host any type of indoor event, both national and international, offering the best equipment and services for clients, promoters, and the public.”
