Mané Garrincha Stadium now Arena BRB

BRB (Brazil-based bank) has acquired the naming rights of the Mané Garrincha Stadium in Brazil. The naming rights deal is valid from 2022 to 2024 for a total of BRL 7.5 million. With the naming rights deal struck, the stadium has been renamed Arena BRB.

The ‘MKTESPORTIVO’ stated that BRB has already acquired the naming rights for the Nilson Nelson gymnasium. The bank also has a commercial partnership with the Nelson Piquet Race Track in Brasília.

The Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet is a racing circuit in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. It is 5.476 km (3.403 mi) in length and hosts a variety of national-level series including Stock Car Brasil, Formula Truck and Formula 3 Brasil.

The 72,788-capacity Arena BRB, formerly Estádio Nacional de Brasília Mané Garrincha, is a football stadium and multipurpose arena in Brazil.

The ‘MKTESPORTIVO’ quoted the President of BRB, Paulo Henrique Costa, as stating, “BRB has always associated its history with that of Brasília (capital of Brazil) and the people of Brasília. In the midst of our growth process, the commitment is to reinforce this identity and stay attached to our roots.”

For 2022, Arena BRB officials hope to host games of Paulistão (top-flight professional football league in the Brazilian State of São Paulo). The objective is to give even more visibility to the bank.

Starting in January, the local State team, called Candangão, will have their matches at the arena. In addition, the Supercopa do Brasil, scheduled for February 20^th, 2022, will also be held at the stadium. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has an agreement for the event to be held in the federal capital for five years (until 2024).

The Supercopa do Brasil is a Brazilian association football trophy organized by the Brazilian Football Confederation. It is contested between the champions of the Campeonato Brasileiro and the winners of the Copa do Brasil.

Inaugurated in 1974, the Mané Garrincha National Stadium had the capacity to accommodate 45,200 fans. It was redecorated to host the 2014 World Cup, and the capacity was expanded to 72,788 people, making the stadium the second largest in Brazil, behind the 78,838-capacity Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, and among the five biggest stadia in Latin America.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is the governing body of football in Brazil. It was founded on June 8^th, 1914, as Federação Brasileira de Sports, and renamed to Confederação Brasileira de Desportos in 1916. The football confederation, as known today, separated from other sports associations on September 24^th, 1979.
