The Central Coast Stadium in Gosford, New South Wales (Australia) has a new name with the leading Australian decorative surfaces brand polytec announced as the venue’s new naming rights partner.

‘AUSTADIUMS’ stated that under a long-term agreement the Gosford landmark will now be known as the polytec Stadium with the naming deal spanning up to 15 years. The move deepens polytec’s ties to the region following its existing sponsorship of the Australian professional soccer club – the Central Coast Mariners FC.

The 20,059-capacity Central Coast Stadium is a sports venue in Gosford on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. From the establishment of the first venue at the site in 1915 it was known as the Waterside Park being renamed the Grahame Park after significant expansion in 1939. Since then it has had several names but as of 2025 it is known as the polytec Stadium under a naming rights deal struck recently. The stadium is home to the Central Coast Mariners FC which competes in the A-League.

The Central Coast Mariners FC is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford on the Central Coast of New South Wales (Australia). It competes in the A-League Men (the highest level of the Australian soccer league system) under license from the Australian Professional Leagues (APL).

Sydney (Australia)-based the Australian Professional Leagues, officially abbreviated as the APL and sometimes referred to as the A-Leagues, is the governing body for the A-League Men, A-League Women, A-League Youth, and E-League (a professional esports league). Since their formation they have been mostly independent of Football Australia (the governing body of soccer, futsal and beach soccer) within Australia but remain under their umbrella.

Somersby (Australia)-based polytec is an Australian decorative board and laminate brand. Forever the creative thinker, polytec invests in pioneering new product and range developments to equip the cabinet makers, the architects, the designers and the consumers alike with a palette that’s contemporary, forward-looking and comprehensive.

‘AUSTADIUMS’ further stated that the venue had previously been known as the Industree Group Stadium since November 2023.

The first major fixture under the new name will be the Australian professional rugby league football club South Sydney Rabbitohs’ National Rugby League (NRL) clash against the Australian professional rugby league club – the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks – on July 26th.

Owned by the locally founded Borg Group the polytec is part of a major Australian manufacturing and property development business that employs nearly 3,000 people nationwide. Founded in 1989 by brothers Michael and John Borg the business remains headquartered at Somersby on the Central Coast.

Remarked John Borg, Borg Group Managing Director, “Being part of this stadium through one of our most recognized brands is a meaningful way to give back to a region that’s been so important to our company’s success. We’re proud to support an iconic local venue and look forward to working with the Central Coast Council to bring the best in sport and entertainment to the community.”

Located on the banks of the Brisbane Water the polytec Stadium is widely regarded as one of the most scenic sporting venues in Australia.

Operated by VenuesLive (a leading provider of management and hospitality services to the venues and events and is based in New South Wales, Australia) on behalf of the Central Coast Council the stadium hosts a wide variety of professional and community events year-round.

The VenuesLive Venue Manager Kath Casey described the new partnership as a positive step forward for the region – The polytec Stadium represents a new chapter of investment in the Central Coast. This partnership with the Borg Group will help us attract major events, grow tourism and continue delivering outstanding experiences for the fans and the broader community.”

The Central Coast Council (a local Government area in the Central Coast Region of New South Wales, Australia) head honcho David Farmer said the commitment from polytec is a major boost for the local area – “This is a great result for our community bringing together a successful local business and one of our most important public venues. The investment will support the ongoing activity at the stadium and benefit the businesses right across the region.”

The stadium is preparing for a packed calendar with over 40 events scheduled and more than 200,000 visitors expected through the gates in the next year.

Home to both the A-League Men’s and Women’s champion teams of the Central Coast Mariners the polytec Stadium will also host regular-season NRL matches featuring the rugby league teams – the Sydney Roosters and the South Sydney Rabbitohs along with National Rugby League Women’s Premiership (NRLW) fixtures.

Sydney (Australia)-based the National Rugby League (NRL) is a professional rugby league competition in Oceania which comprises clubs from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, and New Zealand.

The NRL Women’s Premiership (NRLW), also known as the Telstra NRL Women’s Premiership due to sponsorship reasons, is a rugby league competition in Australasia for the female players. The league is run by the National Rugby League (NRL).
