Host and Federation Summit by MEI Image: Major Events International

From June 12th to June 15th 2023, Cities from across the world will be converging on Lausanne, Switzerland for the sixth edition of MEI’s Hosts and Federations Summit. This will provide sports venue suppliers with an unmissable opportunity to engage with new sports development opportunities.

‘MEI Major Events International’ stated that taking place at the center of the Olympic movement, in the region of 50 Cities will be looking to connect with international sporting events, represented by International Sports Governing Bodies and rights holders. As they build their sporting events portfolio, they will be looking to improve their venues and their City infrastructure. Perhaps you can help?

London (UK)-based the Major Events International (MEI) specializes in helping sports rights holders, Host Cities, Government agencies, and suppliers succeed in the opportunities arising from bidding for, and hosting, major sporting events. It provides a single point of contact for support helping rights holders to mitigate risk, minimize cost and increase revenues and fan engagement delivered via proactive key account management and, where necessary, consultancy.

Having identified a huge gap in the market in the late 2000s for a single point of contact model for event organizers and experienced, trusted event suppliers, the MEI was formed to provide that interface service. With experience from every Summer Olympic Games since Athens 2004 through to Rio 2016 and relationships with future Games in Paris 2024, the FIFA World Cup™ in Qatar 2022, multiple Commonwealth Games, and single sport World Cups, the MEI is the only consultancy operating exclusively in major events planning, delivery and legacy.

MEI is a strategic media partner of Coliseum – Global Sports Venue Alliance.

‘MEI Major Events International’ further stated that the focus of the Summit is to create an environment to connect federations and Cities with expert suppliers and venue hosts. The 2023 event will be bigger and better than ever before with extended networking and a broader social program. There is an opportunity for MEI to pre-arrange 1-2-1 meetings for you, give you access to City breakfast briefings and for one to have access to an exclusive VIP evening that will include a dinner across the lake in France with Host Cities, rights holders and federations.

As a media partner for the Summit with MEI, members of the Coliseum network will receive a 20 percent discount using the code COL2023.
