New renderings of the proposed new home of the Major League Soccer (MLS) team Inter Miami CFMiami Freedom Park (US) – has been released.

The ‘Inter Miami CF’ stated that the renderings showed views of the future residence of the MLS team from various vantage points – exterior of Miami Freedom Park, the astonishing amount of public green space, soccer village, tech hub, and an aerial view of the Park.

The Miami Freedom Park is a proposed 25,000-seat soccer-specific stadium to be built in Miami, Florida (US), which will serve as the residence of Inter Miami CF. It will be a mixed-use development and will also boast retail shops, hotels, restaurants, and a training center.

Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami, known in English as Inter Miami CF or simply Inter Miami, is an American professional soccer club based in the Miami metropolitan area (US). The team began play in Major League Soccer (MLS) in the 2020 season at the 18,000-capacity DRV PNK Stadium in Florida, the site of the former Lockhart Stadium.

Major League Soccer (MLS) is a men’s professional soccer league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation, which represents the sport’s highest level in the United States and Canada. The League comprises 27 teams – 24 in the US and 3 in Canada – and plans to expand to 30 teams by the 2023 season.

The ‘Inter Miami CF’ further stated that the Miami Freedom Park will become a recreation destination that all Miamians can enjoy, providing 58 acres of public parks and green space, a tech hub, restaurants and shops, soccer fields for the community, a 25,000-person stadium for Inter Miami, and many more features.

The project will not utilize any City taxpayer dollars as it is 100 percent privately-funded by the club ownership. Miami Freedom Park received overwhelming support from the City of Miami residents, having received more than 60 percent voter approval during last November’s referendum. With this vote, the residents have indicated that they want the City to negotiate and execute a lease for the proposed land for specific project.

The Miami Freedom Park will deliver an array of benefits to the community unlike any other sports-related development to the City. It will pay fair market value rent, as well as living wages for all onsite employees. Miami Freedom Park will contribute more than $40 million in annual tax revenue to the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County, State of Florida and Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and will generate more than 13,000 jobs.
