Work on the future home of the LaLiga team Valencia CF (Spain) – Nou Mestalla – is progressing well and as per schedule.

‘VALENCIA CF’ stated that the construction of the Nou Mestalla – the future home of Valencia CF – continues to progress as per schedule towards its opening planned for the Summer of 2027.

The Valencia CF or simply Valencia is a Spanish professional football club based in Valencia, Spain, that currently plays in LaLiga, the top tier of the Spanish league system.

The Mestalla Stadium is a football stadium in Valencia, Spain. The stadium is the home of Valencia CF and has a capacity to pack in 49,430 spectators making it the eighth-largest stadium in Spain and the largest in the Valencian Community.

The Nou Mestalla is a partially built football stadium in Valencia, Spain, intended as a replacement for Valencia’s current stadium, the Mestalla. The basic concrete structure of the stadium was built between August 2007 and February 2009 but work was then halted due to financial reasons. Following multiple redesigns the final capacity of the facility will be 70,044 with construction work eventually resumed in January 2025 and all set to open in 2027.

‘VALENCIA CF’ further stated that in recent weeks progress on the future home of Valencia CF has become increasingly visible due to the assembly and installation of the first pillars (38 meters high and weighing 30 tons each) on which the large roof will be placed located in the Northern area of the stadium next to the land for tertiary use.

Brisk activity is going on at the Nou Mestalla site and is also taking shape with the arrival and assembly of other key elements such as the stair towers and the structural compression ring boxes for the roof. This progress marks the beginning of a new phase of construction reflected in the technical schedule starting in February 2026.

Nou Mestalla continues to take shape with a roadmap aimed at opening for the 2027-2028 seasons. There will be five commercial units to generate activity 365 days a year.

The goal is to attract leading leisure and dining operators, improving the experience on and off matchdays and creating a venue integrated with the City.

Three units at the North and South ends are planned as experiential restaurants each with an outdoor terrace and an interior terrace overlooking the pitch, something which is rare in Europe. They target fans around games and visitors seeking an exclusive everyday offer.

The other two sit on the East Stand on Calle Nicasio Benlloch, large and adaptable for leisure, dining and entertainment concepts.
