The Championship game of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) will be played on November 23rd at the CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri (US) – the home of the NWSL team Kansas City Current and one of the first stadiums built for a professional women’s team in the world.

As part of the 2024 Coliseum US meet which was held at the 76,416-capacity GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri (US) from June 5th-6th, 2024, venue tours were undertaken as part of the program schedule. A venue tour was also undertaken of the 11,500-capacity CPKC Stadium on June 4th. An ice-breaker event was also held at the CPKC Stadium on the day of the venue tour.

‘FOX SPORTS’ stated that the league made the announcement on July 3rd.

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) is a professional women’s soccer league at the top of the United States league system. Headquartered in New York City, it is owned by the teams and, until 2020, was under a management contract with the United States Soccer Federation.

Chicago (US)-based the United States Soccer Federation, commonly referred to as U.S. Soccer, is a 501 nonprofit organization and the official governing body of the sport of soccer in the United States.

The 11,500-capacity CPKC Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium located in Kansas City, Missouri (US) that serves as the home ground of the Kansas City Current of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). The stadium opened for the Current’s first home match of the 2024 season on March 16th, 2024.

The Kansas City Current is an American professional women’s soccer team playing at the CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri (US). It was founded as an expansion team of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in 2021.

The National Women’s Soccer League Playoffs (or NWSL Playoffs) are a single-elimination tournament among eight teams in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) of the United States, deciding the winner of the NWSL Championship.

‘FOX SPORTS’ further stated that the $120 million, privately-funded facility opened earlier this year on the banks of the Missouri River, just North of downtown Kansas City. The Current have sold out every match so far this season at the 11,500-seat stadium.

Last year’s Championship game drew a record 25,011 fans to the 35,000-capacity Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California, the home of the NWSL’s San Diego Wave.
