PSV Eindhoven suit makeover Image: PSV Eindhoven

The sports club from Eindhoven (Netherlands) – PSV Eindhoven – has added more teeth to its audiovisual (AV) technology with the help of Philips professional displays in its residence – Philips Stadion. As a result of it, a luxury match-day suite inside the facility has been metamorphosed into one of the City’s most avant-garde out-of-office, flexible meeting room venues.

The Philips Stadion is a football stadium in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and can accommodate up to 35,000, spectators. It is the third-largest football stadium in the country. Established as the Philips Sportpark, it was constructed as a sports field for Philips employees in 1910.

The Philips Sport Vereniging, abbreviated as PSV and internationally known as PSV Eindhoven, is a sports club from Eindhoven, Netherlands, that plays in Eredivisie, the top tier in Dutch football.

Marc van de Laar, Safety & Security Officer, PSV Eindhoven, Netherlands, is one of the Speakers at the Coliseum Online Week MENA Worldwide, to be held from February 10th-11th, 2021.

PSV Eindhoven sources stated that the ‘Jan Heintze Kick Box’, named after the club’s European cup-winning legend who is also a Danish national team star (86 caps), is one of sport’s most spiffy and plush gameday hospitality venues. Capable of lodging up to 34 people, it comes with its own private bar, kitchen, buffet and provides splendid views of the pitch.

At its 35,000-capacity arena, the club’s objective was to not only offer a superior visual solution for entertainment services on matchdays, but also make use of the room even when there were no fixtures being played.

The most important part was to provide a state-of-the-art professional communication system for meetings and events to local businesses as there is a great demand for well-equipped flexible work offices and spaces. As per figures, demand for flexible office workspaces has increased by 50 percent in the past five years. There are more than 31,000 flexible offices now available for hire – and stadia are playing a major role in it.

PSV Eindhoven sources further informed that designed, operated and used by Panduit, a leading global provider of innovative networked solutions, in tandem with PPDS, eight advanced smart HD displays were installed. To provide an exalted experience with premium facilities on offer at the inclusive and vibrant meeting room, the Philips displays were set up.

Philips, very recently, extended its sponsorship of the club – which was founded in 1913 as Philips Sport Vereniging – by a further 10 years, expiring 2031. It is the longest known sporting sponsorship of any professional sports team, and totals to 118 years.

The installation inside the ‘Jan Heintze Kick Box’ comes armed with 3x Philips 32” Q-Line displays, 4 x Philips 49” P-Line displays and, designed as the room’s centerpiece, a Philips 50” Q-Line display.

A custom AV over IP solution by partner, Atlona, facilitates easy wireless presentation, with content able to be cast and streamed from their Windows, Apple, Android or Linux devices pronto for increased efficiency. Using the PPDS CMND platform, TVs can be effortlessly managed and updated by staff, either in the room or remotely, while custom branding and content on displays, as well as promotions and sponsored content, can be created and deployed in a trice.

CMND is an end-to-end solution that lets one manage, update, maintain, and play via one easy-to-use interface. Whether you are running a small network of Digital Signage Solutions and Professional TVs, or managing hundreds of displays in multiple locations.

An advanced sound system was also combined to work without any hiccups with the display system for a holistic premium audio-visual experience. The entire system was also future-proofed with Li-Fi integration by Signify for maximum reliability.

Roeland Scholten, Sales Director, Benelux & IKAM EMEA at PPDS, stated, “The result of this custom solution transformed the box from an empty and unused space when no games were on into an in-demand and profitable space.”
