The 69,250-capacity Olympiapark in Munich, Germany, is an Olympic Park which was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Located in the Oberwiesenfeld neighborhood of Munich, the Park continues to serve as a venue for cultural, social and religious events, such as events of worship. It includes a contemporary carillon.

‘Olympic Park Munich’ stated that the Olympiapark in Munich serves as an international event center, sports and recreational park and a place of tourist attraction and is famed the world over. The Olympiapark is no less than an architectural marvel.

As of December 31st, 2022, the facility has already admitted more than 225.9 million registered visitors, 128 million of them visiting to attend 15,140 sports, cultural and commercial events and about 97.9 million coming in as guests to enjoy the recreational and tourist facilities.

‘Olympic Park Munich’ further stated that in the business year 2022 4.4 million visitors visited the Park, of which about 2.6 million attended 483 events (on 609 event days) and about 1.8 million came to enjoy the leisure and tourist facilities.

Since the Olympic Games in 1972, the chronicles have recorded 34 world events, 21 European and more than 100 German championships as well as a wide range of other important sports events, concerts with pop, rock and classical stars, trade fairs, congresses, and exhibitions being staged at the Olympiapark.

The Olympiapark with its added attractions are driving crowd by the horde and is emerging as one of the most popular and hot destinations in Germany.

The Olympiapark in Munich has many a feathers to its hat – it is a member of the European Arenas Association, Tourism Initiative Munich (TIM) e.V., Family Pact Bavaria, Munich Advantage of Stadtsparkasse Munich, Press Sales Hermann Trunk GmbH & Co. KG, University of Applied Management GmbH, and Digital City Munich e.V.

The famed facility also participates in the Ökoprofit program of the City of Munich (local advisory program on environmental issues) and is also registered with the Energy Efficiency Networks Initiative of the German Federal Government.

The Olympiapark in Munich also trains up young professionals so that they can climb high up the career ladder and the IHK Munich and Upper Bavaria (Chamber of Commerce in Munich, Germany) swears by this.
