When a new stadium opens, the focus is often on the big headlines, investment figures, technology, architecture, and the overall scale of the project.

At the new home of Inter Miami CF, which opened earlier this month, those elements are certainly present. The approximately 26,700-capacity venue is part of a wider multi-billion-dollar development that is set to redefine the sports and entertainment landscape in Miami.

But as with many successful venues, the real experience begins at a more fundamental level.

It starts with the seat.

Long-term Coliseum partner Series Seating has delivered every single seat inside the stadium, working alongside its strategic partner DreamSeat. For a company that has spent more than four decades refining audience seating, this project represents more than just another installation—it is a continuation of a philosophy that places the fan at the centre of the live experience.

There is a simple reality that stadium operators increasingly recognise: the biggest competitor is no longer the club across town, it is the sofa at home. Fans today have more choice than ever, and the comfort of watching a game from their living room sets a new benchmark for the live experience.

This is where seating becomes critical.

At Inter Miami’s new venue, the ambition is clear, to bring that level of comfort into the stadium itself. From general admission to premium areas, the seating concept is designed to support the body naturally, reduce fatigue, and make long events feel easier and more enjoyable.

Rather than treating general admission and premium seating as separate worlds, the project introduces a more unified concept. New products such as the AZE chair and the mesh-based Olarte model bring a higher level of comfort to general seating areas—bridging the traditional gap between standard and VIP experiences. Across suites and hospitality areas, a range of upholstered seating solutions further elevates comfort and design.

At pitch level, even player seating has been considered in detail, reflecting the same emphasis on ergonomics and quality.

It is a reminder that seating is not just a functional requirement, it is a key part of the overall stadium ecosystem. Comfort, sightlines, materials, and durability all contribute to how long fans stay, how they engage, and ultimately how they remember the experience.

Multiply that by more than 26,000 spectators, and the impact becomes significant.

The seating design also aligns closely with the club’s identity, incorporating Inter Miami’s distinctive pink, white, and black colour scheme. It is a subtle but important detail in creating a cohesive and recognisable environment.

Beyond seating, the stadium integrates advanced connectivity, lighting, and fan engagement features, contributing to a modern, high-performance venue. Yet even within this broader technological framework, the fundamentals remain critical.

Great stadiums are not defined by a single feature.

They are the result of many elements working together.

And in Miami, Series Seating has once again demonstrated that one of the most important of those elements is often the one fans interact with the most, without always realising it.
