Miami Freedom Park to welcome golf entertainment venue PopStroke and adventure park Toroverde Image: Miami Freedom Park

The Miami Freedom Park (US) – the Major League Soccer team Inter Miami CF’s new soccer stadium – announced experiential businesses Fever, PopStroke and Toroverde as the first tenants of the 131-acre mixed-use campus at the old Melreese Golf Course.

The Miami Freedom Park is a 25,000-seat soccer-specific stadium under construction in Miami, Florida (US). It is planned to be the home of Major League Soccer club Inter Miami CF. In 2022, final approval was given by the City of Miami to build a stadium on the current site of the Melreese golf course close to the Miami International Airport. The decision followed a long process in which numerous locations were considered for the stadium. The current plans would see the stadium opened for the 2026 MLS season.

Why it Matters:

‘AXIOS Miami ’stated that Lionel Messi’s new workplace will be far more than a sports arena – it’s the “largest active real estate development in Miami”, according to Miami Freedom Park.

‘AXIOS Miami’ further stated that in all, the development will feature over one million square feet of retail, dining, entertainment and office space along with 750 hotel rooms.

Zoom in: The focal point of the campus – a 25,000-seat stadium – will open in April alongside a 58-acre park, youth athletic fields, civic plazas, and “the first wave of retailers”.

  • Fever, a live event organizer, will host ticketed experiences at its new 30,000-square-foot retail space;
  • PopStroke, an interactive miniature golf concept backed by Tiger Woods, will program a 75,000-square-foot retail space; and
  • Toroverde, known for adventure parks and zip line courses, promises to bring “high-thrill attractions” to its 24,000-square-foot venue.

What they’re saying: “Our goal has been to create a place that offers something new and unexpected on every visit – and this first wave of tenants embodies that vision,” Devon McCorkle, President of Miami Freedom Park, wrote in a statement.
