After much speculation, Cricket Tasmania can now confirm its new naming rights partner as the Ninja Stadium in Bellerive, Tasmania (Australia) becomes the name set to be synonymous with the Tasmanians this Summer.

‘CRICKET TASMANIA’ stated that SharkNinja, the kitchen, home and beauty appliances leader, which is strongly affiliated with women’s sport in Australia, has aligned to Cricket Tasmania and its professional teams.

Cricket Tasmania (formerly the Tasmanian Cricket Association) is the administrative body for cricket in Tasmania, Australia, and is based at Bellerive Oval in Hobart.

They also prioritize developing talent through their pathways program enabling the cricketers to realize their potential. Cricket Tasmania aim to inspire, engage and entertain their communities on and beyond the field of play.

The Bellerive Oval, known for sponsorship reasons as the Ninja Stadium, is a cricket oval and Australian Rules football ground located in Bellerive, a suburb on the eastern shore of Hobart, Tasmania (Australia). Capable of accommodating 20,000 people, it is the second largest stadium in Tasmania by seating capacity, behind the 19,000-capacity York Park in Launceston, Australia, which can hold 21,000. It is the only venue in Tasmania which hosts international cricket matches.

The Australian Rules football, also called Australian football or Aussie Rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground.

Cricket Tasmania’s head honcho, Dominic Baker, is delighted to have Ninja Stadium as the new naming rights partner for the Bellerive Oval – “The collaboration between Cricket Tasmania and SharkNinja has already been of great benefit to both the parties as we look to pursue female and family-friendly content at the Ninja Stadium ahead of this Summer of Cricket. We are aligned in our love, ambition and passion for women’s sport and through this partnership we will continue to see female sport in our State flourish. SharkNinja will also join our Hurricanes WBBL and the Big Bash League (BBL – an Australian men’s professional club Twenty20 cricket league) playing kit along with their commitment to our stadia.”
