Circuit of the Americas launches NFTS Image: Circuit of the Americas

The motor racing track Circuit of the Americas (COTA) (US) announced on October 4th that the world-class destination is debuting its first two non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

The ‘Circuit of the Americas’ stated that the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is one of the first racing and entertainment venues globally to release digital collectibles. The NFTs were created in partnership with the New York-based agency Art Space Motion and are now available for auction at the NFT marketplace OpenSea.io. Each single press, limited edition NFT available will also offer two VIP passes for MotoGP (Grand Prix motorcycle racing) or Formula 1 (international auto racing) this year or next.

The 1,20,000 Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is a Grade 1 FIA-specification 3.426-mile (5.514 km) motor racing track and facilities located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Austin, Texas (US). The facility is home to the Formula One United States Grand Prix, the IndyCar Classic and the Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas, a round of the FIM Road Racing World Championship, as well a round of the Americas Rallycross Championship.

A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unique and non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a digital ledger. NFTs can be used to represent easily-reproducible items such as photos, videos, audio, and other types of digital files as unique items, and use blockchain technology to establish a verified and public proof of ownership.

Said Bobby Epstein, Chairman, Circuit of the Americas, “Circuit of the Americas hosts some of the world’s most iconic sports and entertainment events. Just as visitors realize how unique and special COTA is, we know collectors will appreciate the significance behind our designs as well as the premium hospitality associated with the winning bids.”

The ‘Circuit of the Americas’ further stated that the auction for the Circuit of the Americas ‘Lights Out Start to Finish Line’ NFT is now live at OpenSea.io and ends on October 15th. The reserve for the NFT is set at $25,000, which is associated with the cryptocurrency market Ethereum and hence the price fluctuates.

The auction for the Circuit of The Americas ‘Star Struck Iconic COTA Tower’ NFT is now live at OpenSea.io and ends on November 7th at 5 pm CT. The reserve for the NFT is set at $25,000, which is associated with the cryptocurrency market Ethereum and hence the price fluctuates.
