Ascot signs gin partner Image: Royal Ascot & Slingsby

Slingsby Gin, the Yorkshire gin brand inspired by its spa-town heritage of Harrogate, has sponsored Ascot Racecourse (UK) to become its official gin supplier.

The ‘KamCity’ stated that as the official gin supplier to Ascot, Slingsby Gin will have exclusive pouring rights across the racecourse, including Royal Ascot which is held in June. Slingsby Gin will have exposure through exclusive branding and activations, branded bars for the season and inclusion in event coverage which is broadcast in almost 200 territories around the world.

The 70,000-capacity Ascot Racecourse is a dual-purpose British racecourse, located in Ascot, Berkshire, England (UK), which is used for thoroughbred horse racing. It hosts 13 of Britain’s 36 annual Flat Group 1 horse races and three Grade 1 Jumps races.

The Royal Ascot is an annual Flat racing meeting held for five days in mid-June which hosts 18 Group races (the highest quality Flat races).

The ‘KamCity’ further stated that to celebrate the sponsorship, Slingsby Gin is running an on-pack competition, launching into retailers this Spring, in which consumers can win tickets to attend Royal Ascot.

Slingsby Gin is already a long-standing sponsor of one of the golf world’s biggest events, the BMW PGA Championship.

Maintained Marcus Black, Co-Founder of Slingsby Gin, “We are extremely proud of our British heritage and roots at Slingsby, so when the opportunity arose to work with Ascot, one of Britain’s most iconic institutions, we jumped at the chance. We are honored to have been named the racecourse’s official gin supplier and we are excited to align with Ascot’s promise to ‘raise the standard’ by delivering the best possible experience for customers throughout the season.”
