Soccer giants to ‘pitch’ in for Ukraine cause

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the Game4Ukraine personally in a public address, revealing that the Premier League team Chelsea F.C. will host the special match in West London (UK) in support of his United24 initiative, to raise funds for the reconstruction of the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky Lyceum in Chernihiv Oblast, a school struck by missiles in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

‘Chelsea FC’ stated that all of the funds raised by Game4Ukraine through ticket sales, sponsorship and a special range of merchandise available on the day, will go towards restoring the school. A vital hub for education, the restoration will guarantee that children can learn in a safe and stable environment.

‘Chelsea FC’ further stated that the Stamford Bridge will host the Game4Ukraine fundraising match on August 5^th with kickoff at 6 pm.

Two sides – Team Yellow and Team Blue – representing the national colors of Ukraine – will be captained by the former Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko and the Premier League team Arsenal F.C. full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, who are past and present Ukrainian internationals and Ambassadors for United24.

Those two captains will select their teams from a pool featuring some of the greatest footballers of the modern era, in addition to a number of celebrity guest players. A host of further big names from Chelsea, the wider football world and beyond will be added to the squads between now and August.

Dress Code

Chelsea will operate a smart-casual dress code throughout the hospitality areas at Stamford Bridge. Smart trainers, jeans and tailored shorts are permitted, but tracksuits, casual shorts or football shirts are not allowed. Guests may be refused entry for failing to adhere to the dress code.
