Spurs ode to staunch fans in 50th year

The National Basketball Association (NBA) team San Antonio Spurs announced recently that they will host four special home games during the 2022-2023 NBA seasons, including one in Mexico City, a 50th anniversary celebration at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas (US), and two in Austin, Texas.

‘NBA’ stated that as part of the organization’s efforts to deepen their fan base and better reach their biggest fans from Mexico to Austin, the Silver and Black will also commemorate their 50th anniversary with a season-long spree of memorable events. The 2022-2023 Spurs seasons is presented by the supermarket company H-E-B.

The San Antonio Spurs are an American professional basketball team based in San Antonio (US). The Spurs compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Western Conference Southwest Division. The team plays its home games at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.

The 18,581-capacity AT&T Center is a multipurpose indoor arena on the East side of San Antonio, Texas, United States. It is the home of the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The 2022-2023 NBA seasons is the upcoming 77th season of the National Basketball Association (NBA), with the regular season beginning on October 18th, 2022, and ending on April 9th, 2023. The 2023 NBA All-Star Game is scheduled to be played on February 19th, 2023, at the 18,300-capacity Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City in Utah, US. The playoffs are then scheduled to begin on April 15th, 2023, and ending with the NBA Finals in June 2023.

‘NBA’ further stated that the four out-of-market home games will be spread throughout the season, starting when the Spurs play in Mexico City at the 22,300-capacity Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico, on December 17th.

The Silver and Black will make a historic return to the 72,000-capacity Alamodome in San Antonio on January 13th. With a capacity of 65,000-plus for the Dome, the Spurs are poised to break the attendance record for an NBA regular season game. The Spurs will travel to Austin for a pair of games on April 6th and on April 8th at the 15,000+-capacity Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

The Spurs remaining 37 home games will be played at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
