UEFA event extraordinaire fans’ figures

The pandemic-delayed Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Euro 2020 football extravaganza will kick off in Rome (Italy) on June 11^th with Turkey taking on past winners Italy at the quarter-full Stadio Olimpico in Rome which can hold 72,698 spectators. A total of 24 teams will play across 11 European Cities. The kick-off of the soccer spectacle will come as a ‘phew moment’ for UEFA following the unprecedented decision to put the tournament on hold last year due to COVID-19 bludgeoning the whole world.

Euro 2020 is scheduled to be the 16^th UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international men’s football championship of Europe organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). It will be held from June 11^th to July 11^th, 2021.

With UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin taking a tough stance and asking all Euro 2020 host Cities to “allow fans into grounds or risk being dropped”, fans in limited numbers are being allowed by the entire 11 host Cities. Of course, in Budapest it will be full house.

Amsterdam (Netherlands) – In Amsterdam, 13,875 fans (25 percent) will be allowed at the 55,500-capacity Johan Cruijff ArenA;
Bucharest (Romania) – In Bucharest, 13,900 fans (25 percent) will be allowed at the 55,634-capacity National Arena;
Munich (Germany) – In Munich, circa 14,000 fans (20 percent) will be allowed at the 70,000-capacity Allianz Arena;
Copenhagen (Denmark) – In Copenhagen, 17,130 fans (45 percent) will be allowed at the 38,065-capacity Parken Stadium;
Seville (Spain) – In Seville, 17,285 fans (30 percent) will be allowed at the 60,000-capacity Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla;
Rome (Italy) – In Rome, 18,175 fans (25 percent) will be allowed at the 72,698-capacity Stadio Olimpico;
London (UK) – In London, 22,500 fans (25 percent) will be allowed at the, 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium;
St. Petersburg (Russia) – In St. Petersburg, 34,067 fans (50 percent) will be allowed at the 68,000-capacity Gazprom Arena;
Baku (Azerbaijan) – In Baku, 34,935 (50 percent) fans will be allowed at the 69,870-capacity Baku Olympic Stadium; and
Budapest (Hungary) – In Budapest, it will be full house (100 percent) at the 67,215-capacity Puskás Aréna.
