US baseball stadium in Nashville renting out suits Image: High Point Rockers

The American professional baseball team High Point Rockers (independent; Atlantic League) and the Minor League Baseball (MiLB) team Nashville Sounds (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) are offering suite rentals by the day for groups and individuals who are getting bored working from home and is seeking a change of ambience and settings. Remote working has become the new normal in a COVID-19 planet.

The High Point Rockers are an American professional baseball team based at Truist Point ballpark in High Point, North Carolina (US). They are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, an independent ‘partner league’ of Major League Baseball (MLB).

The Nashville Sounds are a Minor League Baseball (MiLB) team of the Pacific Coast League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. They are located in Nashville, Tennessee, and are named for the City’s association with the music industry. The team’s home facility is the ballpark – First Horizon Park.

At the 4,500-capacity Truist Point, the Rockers are renting suites for groups of up to four people for $80 per day or $325 for the entire week. That price is inclusive of coffee, private bathrooms, free parking and more amenities.

In Nashville, the ‘Work From Home Plate’ program gives individuals and/or groups of two-to-four people the opportunity to rent their own private suite at First Horizon Park. The concept allows customers to bring their business to the ballpark for a day (or longer) and work while soaking in the stunning views of the field and Nashville skyline.

Individuals and groups can rent a private luxury Club Suite office or a private luxury Field Suite office. The luxury Club Suite is $95 per day (9 am-5 pm) and can fit in up to four guests. The luxury Club Suite is $375 per week as defined as Monday-Friday. The luxury Field Suite is $150 per day and can pack in up to eight guests. The luxury Field Suite is $625 per week. Both per-week options require a five weekday minimum reservation.

The argument by the above teams goes as such – If the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (MiLB team based in Pensacola, Florida), can rent out clubhouses as AirBnB (American vacation rental online marketplace) spaces, why can’t suites be rented out as temporary offices?

Even the MiLB team Charlotte Knights (Class AAA; International League) have been offering daily-use suites since the Fall, at $95 per day or $400 per week at their residence – Truist Field.

The Charlotte Knights are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. They are located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and play their home games at Truist Field, which opened in 2014 and is located in Uptown Charlotte.
