Caixa Capital Risc, CriteriaCaixa’s venture capital manager, has led a Series A Financing round (a company’s first significant round of venture capital financing) of 2.5 million euros from the technology company Mobile Media Content (MMC), which focuses its activity on digitizing sports and cultural venues (creating 3D models) to automate the production of content and distribute it through the 3D Digital Venue software as a service (SaaS) platform. The operation has also had the participation of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, Spodeal Capital, Limorent, the current shareholders, and the founding partners.

‘Mobile Media Content’ stated that the financing round will help drive the growth and international consolidation of the 3D Digital Venue platform, increasing its penetration in the global events market and developing new value-added services that will allow the company to deploy new business models based on the digital economy and the metaverse (hypothetical iteration of the Internet).

The Mobile Media Content is a global technology company focusing on delivering 3D Digital Venue Management Solution for the Sports and Entertainment Industry.

The Ministry of Science and Innovation, through the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), promotes the Innvierte program, which is part of the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2027, approved by Agreement of the Council of Ministers in September 2020. This strategy contains the objectives, reforms and measures that must be adopted in the entire field of Research and Development and Innovation (R&D&I) in order to boost its growth and impact, and is one of the pillars on which is based the design of the Government’s R+D+I policy for the coming years.

Innvierte is implemented through the closed-end collective investment company Innvierte Economía Sostenible SICC S.M.E., S.A., self-managed and subject to the supervision of the National Securities Market Commission. Since it was launched in 2019, this program has committed 147.6 million euros to 96 technology SMEs.

The Spodeal Capital is the first qualitative fund specialized in the sports industry, which combines a strategic, technological and opportunity vision to identify the investments to be made, always with the technological axis of transformation as the driving force and increase in the value of the participation. The objective of the fund is to identify companies and start-ups that at the beginning of the project have great growth potential, thanks to their innovation, technology or uniqueness, seeking a revaluation of assets from the acquisition and executive intervention.

‘Mobile Media Content’ further stated that the 3D Digital Venue platform offers various services and technological solutions to increase the online conversion of products related to events: Single tickets, season tickets, VIP experiences, promotion of new stadiums, etc. As an example, the 3D Digital Venue allows, when purchasing a ticket for a match, the user can sit virtually in any of the available seats and check the panoramic view from the chosen seat, while making the purchase from his mobile device.
