With the renovations of Philips Arena completing for the 2018-19 season, sports fans are set to enjoy two Topgolf Swing Suites inside the Hawks Meeting and Conference Center, according to Atlanta Hawks website.

Each of the high-end suites will include two Topgolf simulators, HDTVs, lounge seating and food and beverage facilities in a luxury setting with a view into the arena bowl. Fans seeking pre and post-event entertainment will be able to play Topgolf before, during or after the events.

“Basketball is my first love, but Topgolf has quickly become one of my favourite hobbies. Having a Topgolf Swing Suite inside State Farm Arena will be incredible for the fans and will add to the already amazing atmosphere at Hawks games”, said Kent Bazemore, Atlanta Hawks’ Forward Guard.

Topgolf, which started in 2014 to make golf scoring fun, has become a global brand and continues to give a perfect experience for golfers and non-golfers alike. Every Topgolf venue features several high-tech, climate-controlled hitting bays throughout the year for an ultimate golf experience.

“As we began discuss transforming our arena into a premier sports and entertainment venue for next generation Atlantans, we realized there was no better potential partner than Topgolf.” Said Steve Koonin, CEO, Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club. “They provide a one-of-a-kind experience that appeals to millennials and people of all ages. We are thrilled that they will have a home in our arena.”

The Swing Suites are being marketed as a single-game buy for NBA games and concerts by the Hawks says Michael Drake, Senior Vice-President of Corporate Sponsorships, Atlanta Hawks. Topgolf is also in negotiations with colleges and their marketing partners to install Swing Suites on their campuses as per media sources.

Eventually, Topgolf will use the technology to expand into other sports as well, with the company already introducing a simulator software for baseball. The company expects to have several more locations in the next five years.
