Premier Partnerships – the sponsorship sales and consultancy agency – has been designated to assist in the evaluation and go-to-market commercial strategy for ocV!BE, the mixed-use community and live entertainment district that will come up in and around Honda Center (US), home of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL) ice hockey team.

The Honda Center is an indoor arena located in Anaheim, California (US). Los Angeles-headquartered Premier Partnerships is the industry’s leading naming rights, sponsorship sales, and consulting firm, with a 15-year track record of maximizing revenue for prestigious facilities, events, sports and entertainment properties, and municipal programs.

The details of the ocV!BE project was first unlocked in the month of June this year, and the $3bn (£2.35bn/€2.53bn) development covers 115 acres in the heart of Orange County and is the vision of the Samueli family, who own the Ducks. It is hoped that the district can open in 2024 and be fully completed in time for Los Angeles’ hosting of the Olympic Games in 2028, when Honda Center will stage volleyball fixtures.

OcV!BE will surround Honda Center with a complete range of lifestyle and public amenities, as well as live entertainment venues, including a new 6,000-capacity concert facility, a 68,000-square-foot food hall, food joints, retail, two new hotels with 650 rooms in total, a 325,000-square-foot office tower, three unique public plazas, 2,800 residential apartment units that will include a 15 percent dedication to affordable housing, 30 acres of open space and parks, and a network of pedestrian bridges and walkways.

Premier Partnerships connection to the project dates back to 2019 end when Bill Pedigo, Chief Commercial Officer for ocV!BE Sports and Entertainment, hired the services of the firm to develop an evaluation of the district’s corporate partnership elements. The latest appointment is a continuation of that connection.

Prior to the public launch, ocV!BE expanded the Premier relationship to assist in the corporate partnership sales efforts as the district seeks to secure a select and elite number of long-term founding partners. Premier Partnerships will complement the Ducks, Honda Center, and Rinks existing corporate partnership sales teams in these initiatives.

Pedigo added, “Premier Partnerships has a proven track record on both the consulting and sales fronts. Their thorough evaluation and asset creation work early on and their national sales force footprint made the decision to move to the go-to-market sales phase an easy choice.”

Randy Bernstein, Premier Partnerships CEO, added, “The $3bn ocV!BE project utilizes Premier’s most powerful valuation, strategy, and sales capabilities. We are confident that this transformative district will attract the most important corporate partners in North America.”

The final project design and plans are underway for ocV!BE.
