The 81,365-capacity Signal Iduna Park (Germany) will be at full capacity on April 2nd when present Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund clash against runners-up RB Leipzig.

The ‘kicker’ stated that with COVID-19 rules getting relaxed in Germany, in Dortmund, a stadium will boast full house after a very long time.

Westfalenstadion is a football stadium in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, which is the home of Borussia Dortmund. Officially called the Signal Iduna Park for sponsorship reasons and BVB Stadion Dortmund in Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) competitions, the name derives from the former Prussian province of Westphalia.

Borussia Dortmund, BVB, or simply Dortmund, is a German professional sports club based in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It plays in Bundesliga, the top of the German football league system. The Signal Iduna Park serves as its residence.

RB Leipzig, or informally as Red Bull Leipzig, is a German professional football club based in Leipzig, Saxony, Germany. The top-flight plays in Bundesliga. The 41,939-capacity Red Bull Arena serves as its digs.

The ‘kicker’ further stated that the Signal Iduna Park will be full to the brim with 81,365 spectators.

A statement on the Borussia Dortmund’s website read, “The game between Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig is sold out! In the free sale on March 28th, the last tickets were sold out. We are looking forward to welcome 81,365 spectators in the most beautiful stadium in the world!”

The 3G rule will be in promulgation which means spectators will have to be vaccinated, recovered or should have undergone the coronavirus test.

However, the BVB issued a note of caution for fans, “We recommend fans wear face coverings wherever social distancing cannot be maintained. Masks are still mandatory in the hospitality area. We would like to ask you to arrive early.”
