Recently, visitors were given a glance of the SAP Garden which is presently under construction in Munich, Germany.

The SAP Garden is a new multipurpose sports arena which is being built on the site of the former Olympic cycling track stadium in Munich Olympic Park owned by the Red Bull Munich.

‘Radio Gong’ stated that the developer Red Bull, together with its partners FC Bayern Basketball and SAP (German multinational software company), are giving visitors a first glimpse of the new arena.

The SAP Garden is a new sports arena located in the world-famous Munich Olympic Park. The sports arena, with match seating of up to 11,500, will be the future home of the German ice hockey champions, Munich Red Bulls, and the German basketball champions, FC Bayern Munich.

The Olympiapark in Munich, Germany, is an Olympic Park which was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Located in the Oberwiesenfeld neighborhood of Munich, the Park continues to serve as a venue for cultural, social and religious events, such as events of worship. It includes a contemporary carillon.

The Munich Red Bulls is a professional ice hockey team based in Munich, Germany. The club is a member of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, the highest level of play in professional German ice hockey. Between 2016 and 2018, the club has won 3 DEL titles in a row, as well as the German Cup in 2010.

The FC Bayern Munich is a professional basketball club, a part of the FC Bayern Munich sports club, based in Munich, Germany. The club competes domestically in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) and internationally in the EuroLeague.

The design of SAP Garden excels in its ability to create a flexible, multipurpose arena with a strong identity, adding its own original, modern expression.

Visitors are being given a dekko of the under construction facility so that they get a rough idea of what the future home of Munich Red Bulls and FC Bayern Munich will look like.

‘Radio Gong’ further stated that organizers of gaming and other sporting events (tennis, boxing, etc.) can also get a rough idea of the new facility which will also come armed with three additional training ice rinks.

Visualization Drafts

Visualization drafts of the facility’s interior were unveiled recently.

Fans can choose their favorite seat as part of the 3D seating plan and will know well in advance the pitch viewing angle when they buy their tickets.

The visitors were taken on a wild ride across the construction site by the trial freestyle rider, Adrian Guggemos, with the help of virtual reality (VR) technology.

If fans want to experience the real arena feeling before the SAP Gardens opens in 2024, they can enjoy exclusive films about the development of the construction project in the cinema hall set up for the purpose. In the ‘Pose with the Pros’ area, there is a selfie spot for ice hockey and basketball fans where they can click selfies with their favorite players.

Fans and interested parties can visit the Experience Center from September 7th, 2022 after registering on the website www.sapgarden.com
