The Turkish professional football club Galatasaray S.K. announced recently that it has signed a contract with the construction company Rams Global for the title sponsorship of their home stadium – the Nef Stadyumu in Turkey.

‘RAILLY NEWS’ stated that the Galatasaray’s stadium will henceforth be known as the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex Rams Stadium.

The Galatasaray Spor Kulübü, also known as Galatasaray AŞ in the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) competitions, is a Turkish professional football club based on the European side of the City of Istanbul. It plays in Süper Lig, the top-flight of the Turkish football league system.

The 52,600-capacity Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi, branded as the Rams Global Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium serving as the home ground of the Süper Lig club Galatasaray S.K. It is located in the Seyrantepe quarter of the Sarıyer district, on the European side of Istanbul, Turkey.

Almaty (Kazakhstan)-based Rams Global provides services and conducts projects mainly in the construction and real estate sectors. Rams Global, whose foundations were laid in Kazakhstan 26 years ago, operates in the construction sector in Turkey.

After its first project in Turkey – the Gaziantep Liv Hospital, Rams took over the urban transformation project Quattro earlier this year.

Ramazan Bülbül, the founder of Rams Global, whose flagship is construction but is also involved in the health, tourism and mining sectors, said that he got into business at a young age, after dealing with trade in Gaziantep and Sakarya for a while, and then he went abroad and has been working in Kazakhstan since the ’90s.

‘RAILLY NEWS’ further stated that a statement sent out by Galatasaray read, “Our club signed a stadium title sponsorship agreement with the Rams Global, which was born in our country and became an international brand, for our Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex. This deal with Rams Global will prove to be a shot in the arm for Turkish football with world-class sponsorship income. We hope that this agreement will be beneficial to Galatasaray, the club of firsts and greatest, to Rams Global, the giant brand of different sectors such as real estate, health, tourism, media and mining, and to Turkish sports.”

Details of the contract signed between the two parties will be announced at a presser to be held soon.

Nyon (Switzerland)-based the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) is one of six continental bodies of governance in association football. It governs football, futsal and beach football in Europe and the transcontinental countries of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, and Kazakhstan, as well as some Asian countries such as Israel, Cyprus and Armenia. The UEFA consists of 55 national association members. Because of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the FIFA and UEFA suspended all Russian national teams and clubs from any FIFA and UEFA competitions.
