Real Madrid partners with Dubai Image: Real Madrid

The LaLiga club Real Madrid CF (Spain) and Visit Dubai (the official Tourism Board for Dubai, UAE) have inked a global partnership agreement that aims to generate new growth opportunities for both institutions and makes this City in the United Arab Emirates the first official destination for the club.

‘Realmadrid’ stated that the event took place in the boardroom at the Real Madrid City (training complex of Real Madrid in Valdebebas outside of Madrid) and was chaired by the Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez and Issam Kazim, head honcho, Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM).

The Real Madrid CF is a Spanish professional football club based in Madrid (Spain). The club competes in LaLiga, the top tier of Spanish football. Founded in 1902 as the Madrid Football Club, the club has traditionally worn a white home kit since its inception.

The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is a football stadium in Madrid, Spain. With a current seating capacity of 83,168, it has the second-largest seating capacity in Spain, and it has been the home stadium of Real Madrid since its completion in 1947.

The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium renovation works are in their final phase and the club is has already set a provisional date for its inauguration: December 23rd, 2023. The top-flight has played its first game in the remodeled Santiago Bernabéu Stadium not very long back which is nearing completion following a revamp by architecture studios L35, Ribas & Ribas and GMP Architecten.

The revamped structure now boasts its new wrap-around façade largely complete and its retractable roof in place. Alongside the addition of a retractable roof and a steel façade, the renovation has seen the addition of a terrace surrounding the stadium on top of the stands and a new pitch removal and storage system.

Visit Dubai is the official Tourism Board for Dubai. It offers trip planning options, personalized recommendations and event and attraction bookings.

‘Realmadrid’ further stated that through this collaboration, which is part of the recently announced Dubai-D33 Economic Agenda (plan to transform Dubai’s economy), the two organizations, which share common goals such as a commitment to excellence and innovation, will offer a wide range of unique and special experiences for Dubai and Real Madrid fans. This partnership, which includes the top-flight’s first teams in Men’s and Women’s (Real Madrid Femenino) football, will introduce a taste of Dubai to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, providing fans with unforgettable moments and services of the highest standard.

The event was also attended by José Ángel Sánchez, Director General of Real Madrid, and Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations at Real Madrid.

The duo observed, “We are very proud of this new partnership with Visit Dubai as the club’s first official destination. Dubai is striving for excellence in all its entertainment activities, a goal shared by the club. We are delighted to be bringing this exciting tourist destination to our fan base of millions of ‘Madridistas’ around the world.”
