The Kansas City Current has sold out of season tickets for the 2024 National Women’s Soccer League regular season at the club’s under-construction CPKC Stadium.

The new venue is the first stadium purpose-built for a women’s professional soccer team in the world.

The 11,500-capacity soccer-specific stadium is being built in Kansas City, Missouri (US) for Kansas City Current who currently play home games at Children’s Mercy Park.

All isn’t lost for fans who are still eager to see KC Current play in their new home, however, as they can get access to the 2,000 seats available for single matches, group sales and other ticket packages through the team’s waitlist, which is a part of The Current Club.

The Current Club will feature exclusive benefits for fans of the team as well as serving as the key location to get single match tickets for 2024 and beyond.

The 2024 Coliseum Summit US will be held from June 4th-6th, 2024 at Kansas City, Missouri.

Current co-founder and co-owner Angie Long said, “This is another exciting moment for our club and the amazing fans in Kansas City. It validates, again, the rewards of investing in women’s sports. We cannot wait to open this beautiful riverfront stadium and bring the world class experience and sold-out crowd to our city.”

Current co-founder and co-owner Chris Long added, “Kansas City is the Soccer Capital of America for a reason. We have the best fans in the country and we couldn’t do what we are doing here without them.

“This is a historic moment for women’s sports globally, and we know the excitement of match nights, the world-class culinary experience, the locally inspired art deco and the intimate setting for fans will make this one of the best fan experiences in the world.”

The stadium is on track to open ahead of the 2024 KC Current season.

The team has a 50-year lease agreement with Port KC for the seven-acre site on the East end of the Berkley Riverfront Park in downtown Kansas City. CPKC stadium will seat 11,500 spectators and the team boasts that no seat will be more than 100 feet from the field.

Current Vice President of Ticketing and Sales Dan Boyd said, “We expected to be sold out for the opening season at CPKC Stadium because of the support and passion that fans in Kansas City have for soccer.

“We’ve seen season ticket growth trends increase 135 percent since 2022. We knew our product would lead to an environment that cultivates an electric atmosphere, giving the city, the fans and the players what they want, and more importantly, what they deserve.”

In addition to being the first in line when season ticket memberships become available, Current Club Members will receive the following benefits:

Fans who become a part of the Current Club will be contacted by the club in order of priority based on when they purchased their Current Club Membership for newly available season ticket options. Extremely limited inventory will go on-sale to those on the waitlist following the 2024 schedule release. Select premium seating experiences are still available.

The best way to secure your seat for 2024 NWSL home matches at beyond at CPKC Stadium is by joining the Current Club. For more information, visit this website or call 913-374-0233.
